heres some reasons you people piss me off................

Top Ten Signs You're a Fundamentalist Christian

10 - You vigorously deny the existence of thousands of gods claimed by other religions, but feel outraged when someone denies the existence of yours.

9 - You feel insulted and "dehumanized" when scientists say that people evolved from other life forms, but you have no problem with the Biblical claim that we were created from dirt.

8 - You laugh at polytheists, but you have no problem believing in a Triune God

2006-07-14 04:02:18 · update #2

7 - Your face turns purple when you hear of the "atrocities" attributed to Allah, but you don't even flinch when hearing about how God/Jehovah slaughtered all the babies of Egypt in "Exodus" and ordered the elimination of entire ethnic groups in "Joshua" including women, children, and trees!

6 - You laugh at Hindu beliefs that deify humans, and Greek claims about gods sleeping with women, but you have no problem believing that the Holy Spirit impregnated Mary, who then gave birth to a man-god who got killed, came back to life and then ascended into the sky.

5 - You are willing to spend your life looking for little loopholes in the scientifically established age of Earth (few billion years), but you find nothing wrong with believing dates recorded by Bronze Age tribesmen sitting in their tents and guessing that Earth is a few generations old.

2006-07-14 04:02:39 · update #3

4 - You believe that the entire population of this planet with the exception of those who share your beliefs -- though excluding those in all rival sects - will spend Eternity in an infinite Hell of Suffering. And yet consider your religion the most "tolerant" and "loving."

3 - While modern science, history, geology, biology, and physics have failed to convince you otherwise, some idiot rolling around on the floor speaking in "tongues" may be all the evidence you need to "prove" Christianity.

2 - You define 0.01% as a "high success rate" when it comes to answered prayers. You consider that to be evidence that prayer works. And you think that the remaining 99.99% FAILURE was simply the will of God.

1 - You actually know a lot less than many atheists and agnostics do about the Bible, Christianity, and church history - but still call yourself a Christian.

heres some more reasons I would never worship God "Kill Brats"

From there Elisha went up to Bethel. While he was on his way, some small boys came out of the city and jeered at him. "Go up baldhead," they shouted, "go up baldhead!" The prophet turned and saw them, and he cursed them in the name of the Lord. Then two shebears came out of the woods and tore forty two of the children to pieces. (2 Kings 2:23-24 NAB)

God Kills the Curious

And he smote of the men of Beth-shemesh, because they had looked into the ark of Jehovah, he smote of the people seventy men, `and' fifty thousand men; and the people mourned, because Jehovah had smitten the people with a great slaughter. And the men of Beth-shemesh said, Who is able to stand before Jehovah, this holy God? and to whom shall he go up from us? (1Samuel 6:19-20 ASV

Killed by a Lion

Meanwhile, the LORD instructed one of the group of prophets to say to another man, "Strike me!" But the man refused to strike the prophet. Then the prophet told him, "Because you have not obeyed the voice of the LORD, a lion will kill you as soon as you leave me." And sure enough, when he had gone, a lion attacked and killed him. Killing the Good Samaritan

The ark of God was placed on a new cart and taken away from the house of Abinadab on the hill. Uzzah and Ahio, sons of Abinadab guided the cart, with Ahio walking before it, while David and all the Israelites made merry before the Lord with all their strength, with singing and with citharas, harps, tambourines, sistrums, and cymbals.

When they came to the threshing floor of Nodan, Uzzah reached out his hand to the ark of God to steady it, for the oxen were making it tip. But the Lord was angry with Uzzah; God struck him on that spot, and he died there before God. (2 Samuel 6:3-7 NAB)

4) Laws of Rape (Deuteronomy 22:28-29 NAB)

If a man is caught in the act of raping a young woman who is not engaged, he must pay fifty pieces of silver to her father. Then he must marry the young woman because he violated her, and he will never be allowed to divorce her.

What kind of lunatic would make a rape victim marry her attacker? Answer: God.

5) Death to the Rape Victim (Deuteronomy 22:23-24 NAB)

If within the city a man comes upon a maiden who is betrothed, and has relations with her, you shall bring them both out of the gate of the city and there stone them to death: the girl because she did not cry out for help though she was in the city, and the man because he violated his neighbors wife.

It is clear that God doesn't give a damn about the rape victim. He is only concerned about the violation of another mans "property".

Believing (or not believing in God) is a very personal thing. Neither necessarily makes you a better person . Some of the worst strife in the world is caused by people thinking "I'm right.....everyone else is wrong and damned". I bet you would be more comfortable with one of the 'earth-based' religions. I personally reject the idea that some higher power is scripting my whole life. God to me is bigger than any one religion.

this is actually a good question.

God provided so much guidance in the past, present and will do so in the future. the problem is that we keep ignoring His word.

God was ready to spare a wicked city, sodom/gamora, if lot had found one....just one....good person within the walls. he could not.

the warning was made, the actions of those who abandoned God were punished.

based on your statement, does it violate your morality to follow the government, obey the laws of the land or to swear to "tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth" even if the statement is made without God's name?

everywhere you go, you have a "master" over you, or a guard waiting to get you, if you disobey.

You should read the New Testament before you make any conclusions! If God was evil and judgmental, He wouldn't have given you the chance to live with Him in Heaven! There is no better feeling on this whole, entire plannet than to know that you are loved by God himself! And trust me, there is a God! You would feel Him in your heart if only you let Him in!

I hope I can help you understand the gospel better with this presentation. The Bible says you will stand before God on Judgement day, every thought word and deed wil be brought to light. The Ten Commandments will be Gods standard, so lets look at a few. Have you ever lied? Have you ever stolen? Have you ever looked with lust? Have you ever used God's name in vain? Always put God on highest priority in your life?

How do you measure up on Judgement day? The Bible says if you have even broken one commandment you have failed to keep them all. the Bible says that breaking his Law is so serious that the punishment for your sins is eternity in Hell. The good news is that God loved you so much that he came to earth and suffered and died to take the punishment you deserve. you deserve Hell, but jesus stepped in and suffered Hell for you. If you will repent (turn from sin) and trust Jesus, God promisies he will reveal himself to you and grant you forgiveness and everlasting life.
I know you have your doubts about God Etc, But here is Gods challenge to those who are doubting his existence and abillity. if you will repent and turn form sin, you will know God exist because he will change you. you wont simply be following blind faith, but you will move from the realm of belife into the realm of experience. it's like the youmg boy who was told by his father "do not touch the iron, its extremely hot!" The young boy doubts the fathers advice and decides to touch the iron and his skin is instantly scorched. The boy has moved from the realm of belife into the realm of experience. now, it wont matter if a professer with a BA in science tells the young boy that the plugged in iron isn't hot, he will not doubt because he has experienced the hot steel of the iron. same way with God, he promises to forgive you and reveal himself to you if you will simply repent. what a better way to ultimately put the question to rest.

How is God a murderer and hypocrite? He a Judge, he righteously judges people according to their wicked and immoral sins. "The wages of sin is death." This is his law on sin. In Biblical times, he carried out his judgement on wicked generations that had it coming to them. Murderers, rapists and the like, were brought to justice by God. It's no different than a judge carrying out a sentence on a criminal. And God gave them ALL chance after chance, and time after time to change their ways and repent, because through it all, he still loved them and didn't want to utterly destroy them, but they still kept ignoring him and still kept boldly sinning in front of his face. Is God a "murderer" as you claim, obviously not. No more than a human judge is for carrying out a sentence on an evil criminal. You yourself are the self-righteous hypocrite for passing a false judgement on God.

I don't believe that you really think that God is a judgmental, self-righteous murderer.

Instead, I think that God has certain moral teachings for us that you just don't want to hear.

So, you feel the need to try to discredit and defame Him.

After all, if you can succeed in doing that, you can further rationalize and justify whatever it is about your life and behavior that God doesn't approve of.

That's fine, but I will have to tell you there is a God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit. One day soon Jesus will return and if you don't believe now, you will by the end of Tribulation, but then it will be too late. however, Repent ask Jesus into your heart and life and become a Christian. If you don't you will have no one to blame on Judgment Day but yourself; you have been warn.

Are you talking about Allah? Because I worship God the Creator...a loving God who knew the only way to truly show us the way of truth was to be a perfect example in the way of Jesus Christ. Why is he a murderer? God had a way to take himself off the cross, but he chose to die in order to take our punishment for sin. Email me if you want. Jennbrehob@yahoo.com

I believe in god and I can't change the way that other people feel. Everyone has a right to believe in anything that they want to believe in. Nobody can change the way that they feel about that. Everybody is a little different from everyone else.

2006-07-13 08:33:57 · answer #10 · answered by Nook 1 · 0 0

That's a contradiction. It was God who gave us a moral sense and frame of reference by which we are to live. It's kinda connected to our conscience which is why we feel uneasy when we violate the conscience by our thoughts and actions. when we do good, we sense well-being. When we do evil, we lose that inner peace. The violation of your morality you write about is that you are rejecting God by your ungodly living and your conscience is trying to tell you your're going in the wrong direction. CHANGE!
