NO! They are catering in a VERY terrible war. This is the beginning of a serious conflict. The implications of this war are going to hurt the Earth, our economy, people, animals, and any hope we have of attaining social cohesion.

OK people, your forgetting israel has kidnapped lebanese people and is not giving them back. SOOO thats why hisbollah kidnapped the 2 israeli soilders, and thers a lot of contreversy about if they were on there border or lebanons so you dont know that dont act all smart and say you do. IF israel gives back the lebanese people it kidnapped lebanon would give back the 2 israeli's. AND WTF
i thought israel was after hizbollah, well its been killing tons of civilians. ONLY 13 israeli have died compared to +100 lebanses. You people that think lebanon deserves this are morons. Israel's proving to the Arabs (and to the rest of the world) that it doesn't have to play by the rules that other countries observe. Ariel Sharon once said that Israel may judge other nations, but no other nation may judge Israel. With an attitude like that, is it any wonder that Israel behaves at it does?
Israel, together with Jews living in the United States, pretty much dictates US foreign policy. They determine who the US military will attack and what the objectives of that attack will be. They decide when the attack is over. The President of the United States is simply their "avatar."

Yup. Hey, Israel is like the only democracy in that part of the world. They don't want to stir up things unless it was for an important cause. The Lebanese government was given fair warning that if they did not return the three Israeli soldiers and stop killing others, there would be consequences. So here we are. I completely support Israel. The Lebanese government is the ones bringing this upon themselves for trying to use guerrilla tactics against Israel's soldiers.

It's horrible. I think Israel should sit back and let the Hezzbolah terrorists in Lebanon, who are given free reign in Lebanon, just keep firing missiles and mortars into Israel, and the Israelis should be kind enough to just not do anything.
Actually, Israel should nuke Lebanon. Would serve as a good example to the other terrorists countries bordering them.
Does your question imply that you think Israel is in the wrong by defending their people and their borders?

Seems a bit much. But, Isreal has been attacked increasinly lately by those in Gaza and Lebanon.
Geez, can't the Palestinianians quit. I mean, they now have Gaza and stuff was moving on the west bank (I thought). Seems they'll never be happy.

Absolutely. It is high time Israel started acting appropriately in the face of overt acts of war. The bottom line is that the surrounding muslim nations have been cooperating both as countries and through terrorist organizations, to launch rockets at Israeli citizens. What they want to do is exterminate the jews. Since the jews obviously don't want to be exterminated, and have many times the military might of their neighbors, this has resulted in war. War is completely appropriate for this situation and very necessary to solve the problem. It is the mistaken belief that being very much stronger militarily than your neighbors is sufficient to deter them that has lead to this. Quite frankly, the muslims are of a mind that it is us or them, so to speak.
It is fundamentally inappropriate and racist as hell to expect the Israelis to simply lay down and die in the face of this. They'd tried everything, reasonable and unreasonable to solve the problem without war. It's failed. It's failed for the simple fact that, although weak, muslims are heinously evil. The inevitable result is war.

Israel have been mixing up the region for decades. do you think Muslim rebels would even exist if Israel hadn't been unjustly attacking one by one every single country in the region?! it has the blood of thousands may be millions of innocents on its hands. before Israel 'suddenly appeared' on the map of the middle east, the region had been peace full... no doubt that the actual murderers are Israelis!!!!

Israel has the uncontestable right to protect herself and in this case, she is fighting an enemy that has expressly and repeatedly said they will not stop until Israel is destroyed and every Jew murdered(my word).
The Palestinian radicals who are in control are not interested in peaceful cohexistence with Israel.
My opinion? Park a fleet near Israel with orders to support any Israeli operation.
