I am a latina female who bought a porshce in november of 2005 - cash! i was parked in a private long driveway in east san jose, ca on wednesday 7/12 at about 730pm. 3 San Jose Police officers stopped and asked me if I had stolen the car. They asked me for the pink slip, registration, prooof of insurance, driver's license, and pay check stub. also they wanted me to call a witness who was present during the purchase. the white officer said "how can a person like you be driving a car like this without making payments?", I asked him what he meant by "A person like me" but he did not answer. he proceeded to ask me if i was there to buy or sell drugs, buy or sell my body, if i had any weapons or dead bodies in the car and if i had smoked marijuana in college. this went on for 45 minutes. after he checked my background - clear, my registration, clear and current, my insurance, current, talked with my witness, and could not find anything on me, he thanked me for my cooperation and left. Huh?

You actually fit the profile of a drug dealer or high priced prostitute if you paid 90k cash for that car. Who in right mind in America will carry 90k cash instead of check to a car dealership. So I am sure even if you were innocent blonde white female you still would be checked out in greater detail. This definately is not racial profiling but criminal profiling.

Yes it if you remember the names of any of the officers you should contact a organization that deals with these type of issues. Also just to let you know if he has no way to call a witness for you since you were not suspect to any crime.

Racial profiling of drivers already is illegal in the State of California. There are several court cases in California State where racial profiling was a factor.

If you have the badge number and or names of officers you might want to contact a civil rights organization to help you with this.

You should report this without a doubt. It wasn't racial profiling, but it damn sure was racism in its truest form. Take action! You shouldn't let this happen to someone else, well not by these same jerks!!! They asked you for your pay stub? No way would I have been that cooperative. I recently bought a BMW 525i and since I am black and living in Southern California I am sure I will have a similar story to tell. Rock on girlfriend...Porsches are so sexy!! LOL I hope you didn't let them ruin your day. Remember, you do what you do and they do what they do. Truly who gets the last laugh?! YOU and me too! LOL

I loved Cryme Tyme, they were the recent age Los Guerreros. I do agree that if each and every black wrestler had a sterotypical personality then it may well be doing to a lot. R-reality i imagine is being his genuinely actual existence individual he purely being who he's, he's not taking area in a personality he's being himself. Cryme Tyme on the different hand became better relaxing yet i'm no longer positive in the journey that they were purely being a personality than being themselves. BQ: John Morrison is an athletic and gifted wrestler. He ought to truly be contained in the significant journey photo yet he's on the incorrect tutor. i'm a great deal surprised that the Miz is one of those fulfillment raw is %. finished of massive time stars: Randy, Cena, Shemus, area, Jericho, Barrett, and finally Triple H. ought to he get a international championship sure will he on raw unlikely.

If you were parked at a house where you don't live (which is what it sounds like from your question) in a vehicle that came back to a different address, they had every right to check out why you were there. Why were you there? "I'm here visiting a friend" and the occupant saying "yes, she is a friend" would have ended it if that was why you were there.

Not necessarily "racial profiling". You weren't wearing a maid uniform, were you?

I would print out what you just typed to us and take it with you when you file your complaint. Sounds like you have some nasty police officers.

not neccessarily. what kind of neighborhood were you in? officers are trained to look for anything "out of place" or out of the ordinary so to speak. if they saw a young black male in a nice car in a predominatly white, upscale neighborhhood, it would be of interest to law enforcement. same goes for a young white female in a nice car in a predominatly poor, black neighboorhood. the comment/accusation the officer made to you was out of line socially, but that's what they do.

That's straight up RACISM, forget the profiling (even though that's what it was), and he had no right to do what he did. He should get fired for that.
