Hangovers come from two sources: dehydration and toxins from alcohol in the body. The first you can do something about; the second just needs to run its course.

The reason drinking beer or any type of alcohol alleviates the symptoms of a hangover is because alcohol numbs the body's senses in general. Whether it's a scrape on the knee, a punch in the face, or a headache, alcohol will lessen your ability to feel pain.

Remember though, you have your hangover for a reason. With toxins still in your body from a previous night of drinking, you are at greater risk for alcohol poisoning and other alcohol related problems. So while drinking more alcohol will temporarily lessen the effects of your hangover, in all actuality, you're probably just asking for a bigger one the next day.

Go with painkillers. They relieve the symptoms without putting any more alcohol in. Your body will thank you!

How stupid is that the very thing that caused the hang over to cure it... try hitting yourself in the head to cure a concussion ok!
Or try not drinking and going to church and see how that makes you feel.

NO Way. If you drink more beer while you are on a hangover, you are just dumb. In my opinion, if you drink beer in the first place, you are dumb.
