Get a doctors perscription, don't bother with the shampoos at the drug store, they don't work good enough. That sucks I went through it too. You'll have to wash everything!!! Take all the bedding to the laundry place and do it all at once. Put the pillows in plastic bags (air tight) for at least a week, or buy new. The same with stuffed animals. Good luck. I even bombed my house with the bug bombs, i don't know if it killed them, but I didn't have any spiders for a year! You'll have to go through each persons hair like 3-4 stands at a time. I cut out any little dot I saw, it took 9 hours to do my daughters head. did it again the next day and still found a few more... don't give up or you'll never get rid of it. And if you have kids, check their friend when they come over! I'm serious, we sent a little girl home 3 days in a row...be patient!

Has "your friend" tried RID? If that doesn't work, go to a naturalist or homeopath of sorts. My boss's kids had headlice that were resistant to RID. She looked into the prescription stuff and thought it was too harsh/dangerous. So she consulted a friend of hers who is into herbs and such. They created this concoction of coconut oil and tee tree oil. For some reason it killed the lice. I imagine it suffocated them by plugging up their spiracles with the oil. (Spiracles are the "valves" through which they breathe.) It doesn't kill the eggs, so you have to use the stuff on a regular basis to catch After you work the stuff through your hair you comb out the dead adults. Then wash your hair. You will probably have to do this a few times. From what I remember, nits mature to adults within a week. So maybe every 4 days? Anyway, just be careful when washing it out. That stuff solidifies at a rather high temperature. So it could clog your pipes. (Especially in the winter weather.)

everything must be cleaned. All bedding and clothes washed in hot water. All heads must be treated, try NIX, that's what most Dr.s recommend, floors must be swept and mopped, carpets vaccumed and the bag taken outside immediately, all stuffed animals and things to big to be put in the washer must be bagged air tight for at least 48 hours. Go thru your hair with lice and nit combs. There is no fast way, it's all about taking your time and making sure you don't miss anything or else you'll have to start all over again. And spray all bedding and furniture with lice killing spray, as for combs and brushes boil them or soak them in bleach water for an hour or so.

what you do is you put mayonaise on your heads and then it goes away. were it each and every night and don't move it around. it works. also you could use olive oil, but it usually makes your hair oiley but it works. You should cover averything up with plastc so that the lice can't spread to all over your house. They can not hold on to slippery plastic. with chairs and couches and stuff the lice could stick on to them. then they would spread and jump again onto your hair. it is not good if that happens. i think this will help you. firstly go to your doctor or a lice specialist. thats all the time I have for...have to go answer more questions. see you later!

Nix shampoo. You can find it at your local drug store. You will also need to purchase some Rid to spray around your home (all the beds, chairs, rugs, etc) and wash all sheets and hats in HOT water. You will also need to sterilize all brushes and combs in boiling water. Any pets will need to be treated with Frontline or Advantix. Wash all clothing and add a bottle of Nix to the laundry (trick I learned a few years back after returning from a mission trip). This will all kill the lice and their eggs (nits).

go to your pharmacy and ask the pharmacist for NIX or similar product. You just rub it in and wait a few minutes and then comb out the lice and their nats. Boil all hairbrushes, combs, etc. Bleach and hot water for hats, scarfs, pillowcases and sheets. Basically clean everything that hasc ome into contact with heads/hair.
