Look in the paper for Free Animals. We got a dog there, pure bred.

Touching wild birds is a federal offense.

start by getting a net, go out side, sit in a tree, catch one. When you've caught it take it into your home and open the net to a bird cage. Then you've got a bird. No, go to your local humane society, or look in the news paper.

Step 1) Get net.
Step 2) Go outside.
Step 3) spend day trying to catch birds and cursing at total lack of success.
step 4) repeat as desired.

Visit an animal shelter nearest you or call them about adopting a bird. I'm sure you can find one free of charge.

All of the "free" birds are not captive, so you will have to capture one.
