1-Blood, 2-frogs, 3-fleas/lice, 4-beasts/flies, 5-pestilence (epidemic that destroyed Egyptian livestock), 6-boils, 7-fiery hail, 8-locusts, 9-darkness (which lasted 3 days), and 10-death of all Egyptian 1st born males.

These are found in Exodus chapters 7-12 (READ ALL OF IT BEFORE YOU MAKE UP STUFF). Now God made all of that happen to show that He meant business. What makes people think He can't do this again, or something worse the next time? God is a powerful God.

Jat, if you read what I told you to read, you could answer that question for yourself. God didn't do these things out of spite.

God is just and righteous and will punish or reward according to His sovereign will and time...no one tells Him want to do and when.

1. I believe frogs came first, then blood, I may be wrong about that though, that may just be left overs from 'The Prince of Egypt' movie.

2. I believe he can, and will do most of the plagues again, on an even bigger scale (Revalation Has alot of disasters)

3. If anyone disputes that these plagues happened, refer to the layer of blood in Egyptian sand which is too much for any battle, the only explaination is that the river actually turned to blood.

I saw a resent "exposay" on the Discovery channel about this very thing. They explained it by showing that a flooding storm up river could have caused most of the trouble that Egypt under went at that time.. I thought ok God can do storms.. :)

If he's what you say he is, then why not?

However, any human committing such foul deeds would be considered a cruel, merciless murderer - a genocidal maniac. Why the children? Why the general attack on the whole population? To prove "He meant business??" Is this God or Vitto Corleone?

God is powerful, but here is a fact about those plaques most people don't know--They all represented one of the Egyptian gods. God beat them all.

Jesus came to take away the reason that God did those things.
Jesus is the way. We will all be judged at the time of Christ's return.

um... what people? who do you know who believes in the bible who doesn't believe that god can do anything?

of course, that does not mean that every pestilence or locust infestation is because god's trying to prove a point either. ;^)

Just like all the other supernatural stories in the Bible, it's a matter of faith as to whether one believes they occurred or not.

For those who have faith, yes, God could do it again.

For those who don't have faith, the plagues are hogwash fairytales.

Amen to that.
And my money is on God getting really angry with all those politicians espousing "Christian Values" at the expense to the rest of us!

yes it can and will probably happen
God is going to bring judgement on the world
but we Christians are in the world not of the world, so we must trust God and thank Him for his angels protection!
