None. Coffee shops are pathetic places where pathetic plebians congregate to give others the impression that they are somewhat sophisticated all because they like to chug overpriced caffeine down their guts and sit on an ever-so-stylish chairs or couches. And they'll all leave feeling oh-so Tate modern. Believe me, the only ones that feel great at the end of the day are the people at the top of the 'Starbucks' or 'Merrie England' chain.
Some people are so naive it's unbelievable.
P.S: Yes, i do prefer tea actually - home made and not bought for £5 per cup :)

Starbucks all the way. I've never even heard of Merrie England. And Starbux inst that expensive.. regualar coffee isnt that bad. When you start adding the complicated stuff like Mocha and vanilla however, it adds up. And Frapuccinos and Expressos are out the nose too. You might as well be calling it "Bigbucks" coffee if you order the really pricey stuff. I just get the House Blend or Lightnote Blend. Nothing too strong or complicated.
And by the way, contrary to a previous post, coffee shops are not pathetic. Starbucks is a lot better than I can make. They serve imported coffees that you can't get in your common grocery store. Only the best coffee makes it into Starbucks.

As I have said before, I would love to visit England, but not live there on a permanent basis. Such maximum summer temperatures are way too cold for me. Do you have central heating ? If so is it 'district' central heating ? I have just been reading about it in Wikipedia as my BIL told they have it in Canada and I wasn't sure if that meant just ducted air conditioning in all the rooms of one house by a single home heating unit OR heating supplied/pumped to whole cities from a large heating plant, otherwise known as 'district heating'. Wikipedia has large write ups on which countries have district central heating and the many sources of large scale heating being supplied by both local authorities and commercial entities. It explains that many different types of district heating including geothermal, electrical, biomass, central solar and nuclear energy. We don't have district central heating at alI in my country. It's been a real eye opener. I was quite surprised then, to see a question related to weather/ heating just after I had been reading about it. I do hope the weather improves for you; cold tootsies are not fun.
