If you want to shampoo frequently, go with a shampoo without harsh detergents.
Detergents:
Sodium Laureth Sulfate
Sodium Lauryl Sulfate
Ammonium Laureth Sulfate
Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate
^These are found in almost EVERY drugstore brand shampoo. Because they're detergents, they dry out the hair. I suggest going to a health food store (such as Whole Foods...depending where you live also) and look at the labels and check for those particular detergents.
Personally, I like Alba Botanica and Aubrey Organic's shampoos.

I like Alterna. You can buy it at a salon. I have color treated hair and it's wonderful. Stay away from shampoo that has alcohol (in any form) listed as the first 5 ingredients. It will strip your hair of essential oils. As long as you wash the chlorine out of your hair after you swim, it will be fine. A good trick is to put a little sunblock in it. It helps keep it from damage. Make sure you deep condition once a month. It will keep your hair healthy.

I have the same issue, except the chlorine. I use Garnier Fructis shampoo & conditioner for color treated hair. Once I week, I use Pantene's Restore & Renew conditioner to help repair the damage from blowdrying my hair. It works really well.

Biolage: fortifying shampoo (by Matrix) It smells really good and natural and it strengthens your hair which prevents breakage.
*** Never use a brush on wet hair!! It causes breakage and split ends.
The shampoo is great because your hair becomes fragile from the chlorine and from washing it sooo much. So the strengthening shampoo is perfect for you! =)
I used to have a ton of fly aways and breakage, and it totally fixed my hair, and now i am breakage free! =)

To remove chlorine, you need a clarifying shampoo. If your hair feals like plastic on the ends, apply the clarifying to dry hair, lather, and allow to work for 20 to 30 min. rinse warm. condition, rinse cool.
For a daily shampoo for colortreated hair, I like Matrix BioLage, Color Care, or Lanza Protien Plus.

Yer, wash your hair even as it needs it and use a shampoo/conditioner that matches your hair. I surely have hair that ought to get fairly oily immediately so I wash mine the different day making use of head and shoulders 2 in a million. i recognize this is meant for individuals with dandruff (which i don't have) notwithstanding it quite makes my hair noticably softer. and there is not any favor to apply conditioner with it!

Sassy Says..
They have a daily swimmers shampoo and Uv protectant spray, I cant remeber the name cus I am at work but you can go to your salon and find it , as for it. It smells good too and it gets all chemicals out and it is good for color treated hair. It is in a blue and yellow bottle... Yikes! Or Halo products from the salon, they are a little expensive but they work well.

My favorite shampoo, which I use everyday. Is Aussie. Their line of products is great. Even my hairstylist agrees. You should try it. I linked the website below. Check it out
P.S I should do a commercial for them huh? LOL I'm really impressed with their hair products. They should be considered salon quality.
