Human pregnancy tests look for a hormone that human women carry. Dogs, cats or any other mammals have different hormones. When I first started breeding my dogs, I asked my vet the same thing. A dog is pregnant for around 60 days. After 21 days the dog can have an ultrasound done to confirm pregnany and at 42 or so days you can do an X-ray to see how many she is carrying. There is also a test that your vet's lab can do to check for pregnancy.

No I don't think human pregnancy tests will detect if a dog or any animal is pregnant. Take the dog or whatever to the vet.

it should though I don't know how accurate it would be all mammals secrete about the same type of hormone when pregnant. There are kits available like litimus or ph strips for female dogs to test for ideal days for breeding and pregnancy. I use them to test for which days the female is most fertile which is usually the 10,12 and 14th days.

No a human being pregnant try does no longer artwork for canines. There are pregnacy checks for canines yet they don't seek for use all that in many circumstances. the most used procedures of confirming being pregnant besides ordinary vet checks are x-ray and ultrasound.
