When I rub my cat's chin, sometimes he shoves his face in my hand. Does anyone know what this means?

It means he likes it. Cat head pushes are a sign of affection.

Cats have a scent glad that is actually on the sides of their forehead, that is why he likes to rub his face on your hand, or on your legs - he's basically marking you as his territory because he loves you and wants all others to back off.
