...she sat in a comfortable chair and watched me swing around on the mounted antlers of the elk he shot a few years ago? My father walked in on us just in time to see the elk crash down from holding all of my weight.

I hurt my knee from the fall; so, should I just argue that it's his fault that I hurt myself because he did a poor job mounting the elk to the wall, and not apologize in that case?

Oh, he won't kick me out of the house; I'm just visiting him, and he loves it when I visit, and I do too because then my mum cooks for me.

I think you need to apologize for making a bad choice by sitting on the elk, not by blaming him.

It was fine where it was until you did that. Just tell you you were acting silly after having a few pints at the pub and offer to help fix any damage and put it back up again.

You will laugh about this when things settle down.....lol

I think you should apologize and get the elk fixed. Your father is probably losing sleep trying to figure out where he went wrong and what he can do now. You might want to stay away from the pubs when you visit your parents so they will continue to like it when you visit them. You don't want them to hide things and lock doors so you won't destroy the house, ya know.

No need to apologize. A gift is worth a thousand words.( or something like that....). Just give him the girl you "shot" at the pub. He needs something to replace the elk and cover that ugly empty spot on the wall, right?

Now you know I very just about couldn't stop giggling when I examine this question...you extremely did have me rolling there for somewhat. notwithstanding, certain, you should convey regret for both her eating too a lot and the damaged dishes. What you should do is locate out the position your mom bought the dishes from, and go out and purchase her some extra to interchange those that are damaged. once you provide them to her also tell her how a lot you want her. Your mom did not do some thing incorrectly because it really is her living house and she or he's permitted to enter her kitchen any time she desires. purely out of interest, the position did you opt for holiday that made you get so wild? ;-)

Dude, it's not his fault that you were swinging on the wall hangings like an untrained monkey.

Take responsibility for your actions, apologize, and be thankful that you weren't more seriously injured.

Couldn't you think of anything more interesting to do with a girl and a comfortable chair?

You committed a sin in your father's house. You father did nothing wrong. You went to a watering hole, and I assume you got drunk, then you picked up some whore and brought her to your father's house so that you could make a fool out of yourself and destroy his property. I fail to see where your father did anything wrong. You need to take full responsibility for your actions, apologize and ask for forgiveness. And do not do anything as stupid as this again.

Speaking of "mounting the elk" - you two end up doing it after all?

Writing an apology letter shortly after the offense can usually help ...You can usually find forgiveness and understanding if you freely acknowledge what you did wrong and express sincere regret in your apology letter to your dad...
You can help to rebuild your credulity in your apology letter if you promise not to repeat the offense and assure to him that he will see a definite change in your behavior...also you may find that if you freely apologize and accept responsibility for what you did, he may also accept some responsibility for the problem and apologize to you in return.
BUT remember: Be careful! Use wisdom in deciding when to write your personal apology letter.
Good luck....

Maybe you should apologize because i don't think that you were allowd to be on the antlers. I think once it is mounted it is just suppose to stay there and not be played around with.

I think people have a crush on you because you are very cute and funny in your respones and in your questions. ; )

You should jut remount the elk... it will show him that you are truly sorry and that you are sorry for what you did... and then tell him... "Dad I'm really sorry... is there anything else I can do to make up for it?" My dad usually appreciates it when I tell him this because he knows I am sincerely sorry for whatever I did...
