Original sin came about because Adam and Eve took what was obviously bait. They made up their own minds for once in an un-slavelike manner and thus mankind was doomed for having a "forefather" (and foremother) who were not satisfied with being dumb animals.

God, referred to as Jesus' father and arguably his other evil schizophrenic personality, told him to die in agony or the world's entire population is going to get torched for failing a test of perfection that can't be passed and is supposedly our fault.

It doesn't make sense to me.What I don't understand is the part about Eve having to suffer with childbirth because of her sins. So,what sin did every other mammal commint to make them suffer childbirth?THAT doesn't make sense to me.And the ark.Who would put fleas and mosquitoes on an ark to be saved, even if there was room for every living specie, and there's not.there have been species only recently discovered,so that kind of knocks that boat out of the water,so to speak. There are many things that just don't make sense,in the Bible.I have a headache,now...

First, the Bible doesn't teach "original" or "inherited" sin. Anybody who goes to Hell will do so because of his own sins.

Since people have sinned/are sinning/will sin, somebody needed to pay the price for that sin, or else there would be no justice. Rather than condemn each and every person who ever walked the earth to eternity in Hell, Jesus willingly came to the earth to pay the price for us because of His love and mercy.

God never gave man a test he couldn't pass, nor a law he couldn't keep. When we do fail, we have an advocate (1 John 2:1).

According to Christian tradition, Original sin is the condition of sinfulness (lack of holiness) into which human beings are born. It is also called hereditary sin or birth sin. Used with the definite article ("the original sin"), it refers to the first sin committed by mankind, seen as the seed of future evil effects for the whole human race. Christians usually refer to this first sin as "the Fall".

The above is sourced from Wikipedia.

Now, one way of looking at it is that Jesus tried telling us through His teachings that the sinning of Mankind can Stop by following His ways. He even had to die on the Cross for showing the truth.

By believing in Christ, Mankind can have a better Life, a Life free from the bondages of sin.

The Bible is filled with people's thoughts, maybe some of them form God, but some of them maybe just opinions, trying to figure out things, like the origin of man and the world. In the first chapter of Genesis, man was already created, yet he's created again in the second chapter. So the Bible starts right out with two different stories explaining the same thing! No one witnessed first-hand either of these possible events.

I believe in a spiritual interpretation of the Bible. People should think for themselves about it and not take everything literally. People who are interested in Jesus should remember the moral and ethical example he set. To me, that's the most important thing.

What on Earth are you talking about?
1. Satan tricked A and E
2. Test of perfection? Accept Jesus and live a good life and you're in Heaven+ God gives every tools for that...
3. "made up their own minds in an unslave-like manner" You don't see what happened don't ya:
Satan went to E and said that if she eats from that tree she can be a God...he lied because there is one true God..none is higher than Him and none can be as "Godly" as Him
Satan said to E that God know they would be gods that's why He doesn't want them to eat the fruit....the truth is God knew that if they eat from that tree they will go the wrong way..but He gave them the choice He tried to work it out but satan got in the picture....

Thats the whole point isn't it? Its as clear as day?

The whole reason that god nearly abandoned us is because we challenged his authority to rule absolutely. So god said fine, you want to live life yourself by your own wit? go ahead, see how great life will be without me.

And since then we have showed him how we managed on our own to create great things through science and technology and yet, there is still suffering and death in the world. Not to mention a general sense of unhappiness.

The whole point is is that its our fault if he says it is because we should not have right to challenge him. Why do you think he's let this drag on for so long? His amusement?

He wants us to try everything we can to overcome the problems in life and become like him without him. That way, when we fail, we will have no other choice but to all profess that he is god and challenge him and his word no longer.

What you really should ask yourself is this: Do you think it makes sense to actually beleive we can advance our technology enough to overcome all manner of sickness pain and even death. Where everyone born on this world can be happy and content and at peace?

does that make sense to you??
because if it does, please explain it to me because I can't see it happening.

Doesn.t make much sense, does it. I really think that that sin stuff, was developed by men to control the urges of the people they were leading, and as a way to make women be in a lesser position in society. Before that time, and in some pagan tribes today, women were revered because they could produce life, and religion needs men to be the leaders. After all, if you have to ask your mother if you are allowed to go to war against the next town, most of the time she is going to tell you to grow up.

it makes no sense at all, sorry im not much help but my opinion is that the bible was one of the first fairy tale books written and it was like entertainment back then and people had nothing to focus on but that so it became their faith... i could go on about all day about the stories in there and why they dont make sense and how they dont all fit together, but i would be wasting my time because everyone has their own opinion and thats what makes the world go round, as they say... i just dont know how you could believe in something that you have no proof of, it could have been set up by one or a group of people from that time frame... i just dont want to think about it anymore because it makes crazy how funny the whole thing is....

haha, hope this helps!

There is no answer anyone can give you that will satisfy you, because what you want is to argue, not listen. Your not really asking a question, your just stating your opinion and challenging someone (anyone) to try to prove to you otherwise.

God has always given us freewill to do whatever we want, we alone suffer the consequences. What he asks of us is obeidience. He does not force us, as you would have to force a slave, and even before the death of Christ the human race was not all going to hell....they were using animal sacrifices for atonement.

The death of The Lamb of God (Jesus Christ) was the ultimate sacrifice and ended the need for animal sacrefices.

In the first place, Adam and Eve had a free will; they were not slaves. They had only one rule that they had to follow: don't eat off of a certain tree. Compare that to our society, and our almost infinite amount of rules. You're calling THEM slaves? Just our many rules are for the betterment of mankind (or at least, most of them), their ONE rule was also for their benefit. Unfortunately, they chose to disobey. And as for Jesus, He DID have a choice, and He made it.
