Actually, it's against their policy to track your number, and especially for them to call you. You should be able to call them without worries.

Some organizations have tracking devices, but they won't use it against you. You don't need to worry about your parents finding out. They are very discrete and can help you out. If you feel like you are in trouble now they might ask you if they can send someone to your home, such as the police, to get you some help. If you say no they aren't going to do it against your will. A number you can call is 1-800-SUICIDE (1-800-784-2433). You can also call 1-800-273-TALK (1-800-273-8255). They are toll free numbers.

*Generally* helplines will inform you that they need to break confidentiality and get in contact with the Emergency Services to secure your wellbeing. I take it she didn't, and also they generally only tend to have your traced if your life is at risk. But the answer is that I don't know, she may well could've, but I do doubt it for self-harm. Anyways, helplines can NOT track your phone, HOWEVER, they can and sometimes will give your number to the Police, who can track you and they will then come and do a welfare check on you. In your case, it would be the Police. If the Police decided you were at risk, then you would be detained for a mental health assessment (unless you agreed to go with them) - if you'd taken an overdose or poisoned yourself, they'd send an Ambulance too. but not for a wound like that. However the Police are ALWAYS involved in attempted or threatened suicide. Afterall, there's a risk of violence and/or resistance against help and paramedics aren't trained to restrain people.

no. it is illegal for them to. if they do, then sue them for all theyve got and then live happy on the money. the *67 shud work, if not just call from a friends cell phone with *67, they are not traceable back to you. just in case i know u probly have it but some hotlines are
1-800-784-2433
1-800-273-8255

* They are there to listen

* To help you talk

* And perhaps to direct you to treatment in your local area

* Don't expect too much and try to be open

* They may not always say the exact right thing

* Just let them try to help get you through the moment so that you can live another day - so that your cure will be able to save you

Just throw out a line and let them reel you in

If you need to talk to somebody about suicidal feelings but your parents won't understand, you could try to talk to someone from a friend's house or maybe even from a payphone. I don't know if ethics policies would allow them to trace phone numbers, but you need to talk to someone regardless. Check out the links below for crisis-hotline numbers, and also for a little bit about my own struggle when I was in high school. Feel free to e-mail me at chad@jesusfreak.com if I can help in any way. I'll be praying for you.

Here's the paranoia part: If it's a toll-free number, they will know the number you're calling from. It's part of the toll-free service they receive.

Here's the non-paranoia part: There's a confidentiality to talking to suicide hotlines.

Here's the serious part: If you are contemplating suicide, talk to your parents. They do need to know this, and you should seek help NOW.

i dont think so but you could always *67 just in case or if you are still concerned about them tracing you you need to go to a pay phone most 800 numbers are free on them but this is definitely something you need to discuss maybe even try to find an on line chat
i know where you are right now and i know how serious this is to get someone to talk to please do and know that people do love you and care about you. pray for strength and know that GOD himself says He will never put anything on you that you cannot handle keep this in mind and make the call for help

If you need talk, who cares who finds out. If you really want to hide it from your parents, Talk to another adult you trust. Like someone a school, or a friends parents or another relative. If you are feeling suicidal, you must get help, immediately. I'm telling you from experience. This will pass, you may need medication or counseling or a change of envirionment, but it will stop. CALL SOMEONE NOW!!!
