Play Dough Recipe 1
4 cups flour
1 cup salt
4 cups water
4 tablespoons oil
1/2 cup cream of tartar
Mix all ingredients in a sauce pan. Cook and stir over low/medium heat until play dough is completely formed and no longer sticky. Allow to cool slightly before storing in an air tight container or zip lock bag.
Variations:
Add one package of unsweetened powdered Kool-Aid to your playdough to give it a great smell. (Thanks to James Slaughter for this variation).

1 c flour, sifted
1/2 c salt
3 T cooking oil
1 pkg Koolaid (unsweet)
1 c boiling water
Mix together flour, salt, oil, and Kool-aid.
Add the cup of boiling water. Mix well.
Knead the mixture until it forms a soft dough.
Have fun!
I wouldn't recommend eating this though. It would be pretty foul. It's a much better way to get rich colors of homemade play dough and it smells nice too!
