hello, i'm am 22 years old, and i live in Israel. I have to say that i'm tired... it feels like no matter what happens here in israel the world will be against us. there are terrorists that put a bomb on themselves go into a bus or a mall or a club and murder our children, women and men by explosion. Shderot city is being bobmed with kasam rockets every week by hamas from gaza. i was a soldier for 2 years... you have to go to the army here - boys 3 years and girls 2 years.. and situations where our soldiers are being killed and kidnapped is indescribable. Hamas and Hezbollah are terrorists!! right now they are bombing our cities, they have 3 of our soldiers, they want us to release terrorist with blood on there hands.
the world is not making any sense any more.

Israel has many many friends and many people support them. Most people in the world see that the Palestinians voted in a terrorist government, and they have continued their terrorist attacks on Israel. So they are getting a very little sympathy from folks. I'm not sure what the answer is, but give 'em hell.

Well, i think you're looking at only one side of the story here. Israel is fighting an illegal and unfair war. Everyone knows that the land belongs to Palestinians. And now people are fed up. Why do people carry bombs and explode themselves? Simple...When no one out there in the world is taking ur side, when u're all alone, u're desperate, and therefore u do that..hoping u'd be heard, hoping ur cause would be heard! If you say that Hamas and Hezbollah are terrorists, then allow me to say that israel is a terrorist state as well. Look at the casualties on both sides...tell me who has more deads! Palestinians!
Your soldiers have been kidnapped, yes, but why don't u negotiate? Why is everything BY FORCE with you , guys? Don't negotiate with terrorists? Well, arent u in permanent link with george bush? The world is not making any sense anymore, we agree on that, but for different reasons! The world is not making any sense because how come a country can invade another one, kill civilians, impose a blockade and dares to call it self defence?
The world is indeed crazy!

How do you stop the terrorists you ask? You live. You don't hide in a corner in the basement. That means they win. Am I saying you should follow a guy with a bomb around? Of course not! You can't show fear, because to them that is reverence. Every time we tremble, they feel worshipped. Lets put them out once and for all...and make the world a better place. The United States is behind you. The world isnt against you.

How do you stop terrorists? I hate to say this because I think it makes me a bad person, but the only real way to stop someone like that who is willing to kill themselves to achieve mayhem and death is to destroy the mindset which allowed them to act.
To do that, you have to attack it from all angles. First, you have to eliminate those who propogate hatred. That means a zero tolerance policy towards the continued existence of mosques or leaders who support hatred. That sounds harsh, but without ending the source of the hate, you will never know peace.
Worse still, and perhaps making me even more of a bad person, a person who will kill themselves cannot be effectively deterred by threat of death alone. Instead, you have to make examples. Carpet bomb the civilian population of an entire city when a terrorist from that city acts. Burn fields. Wipe out infrastructure. A person may not care about their own lives, but the thought of their family dying can be a deterrent. What is more, a person may not care about their life, but his neighbors might care about their own lives and property. If you knew your neighbor was going to get you killed, would you act to stop it?
It sounds terrible, I know, but history (not the fuzzy, politically correct history most people read about in school, but the kind you can find if you do a bit of research) teaches us that only terrible consequences lead to lasting peace. How was the German insurgency after WWII ended so quickly? Russian troops shot 200 random Germans when one of their own was killed by an insurgent. That sounds horrible, but it probably kept decades of violence from occurring. At some point, you simply have to accept that you must act with such force that your enemy knows true defeat, and pray for the innocent souls that must pay for a lasting peace.

you can choose to stop escalating.
hamas and hezbollah have done this for years. since israel disengaged from gaza, she has lost fewer of her people but it has never gone down to zero.
now there are two skirmishes and she declares war on two countries. there have always been skirmishes, but i wonder what happens when an outright war begins.
israel has taken now 10x the lives she lost. she can choose to do more.
it is tiring, you do not have to release terrorists... but you can take this opportunity to show the world why israel is different from her neighbors. she is not so different if she loses her patience with such force.

Get a grip and prepare to defend yourselves because you are occupying land that is not yours. Good luck in your continued occupation of the Palestinians.
American did a great job at killing off all the Indians and creating America. The US is doing a pretty good job of increasing its military presence in Iraq. The Japanese did the same with Manchuria until they lost the war. The Chinese is doing a great job at taking over Tibet also and continues to crush an opposition arising from that region.

You need to remember both who you are and what you are. So goes Israel so goes the rest of the world. I understand that many forces are fighting against you, be strong and give back to them that fight you MUCH more than you receive. The eastern world is wrong in attacking Israel., I honestly believe you'll see the west supporting Israel soon and we both know God stands with you. Be strong my young friend. Your new leaders are fast learning what Sharon already knew, there's only one thing these terrorist understand, brute force, and Israels more than capable to provide that.

I have to say that I love Israel. Your ideas towards retaliation to one suicide bomber is to send an entire battalion of tanks and destory the bomber's village. I feel for you, but perseverance is all that I can advise. Terrorism has been here since the dawn of time, and I highly doubt that we will ever stop it fully. When the End of Time comes, you then will see eternal peace.

The best way is to kidnap their top guys. The Israeli soldiers they took with them are already dead and they are bluffing you guys for trade. Make sure that they know that price of doing is so high that it's not worth it. Hopefully then they will let you live in peace.

if we knew we wouldn't have terrorism but in isreal its simple well almost palestinians feel oppressed they got brief independance (almost) and israel comes back marching in how do you think they feel they where there first they we removed and now they can't even feel like a nation they should get gaza and the west bank and israel should help the palestinian government track down terrorist but they don't thats you own undoings
