Tastes like reg milk after a while. Make sure to get the refridgerated kind like the Silk brand, and not the kind that's on the shelf in an aisle (to me those tastes too beany and some are watery). If you are using it for cooking, coffee, or cereal, you won't notice a difference. To drink it straight you have the options of flavors like Very Vanilla, Chocolate, Mocha, Chai, Coffee, Spice (tastes just like eggnog), and of course Plain.
Oh and try their yogurts if you like yogurt, and they also make creamer for coffee. Try "Tofutti" brand icecream if you want icecream, and there's also "Tofutti" sour cream and "Tofutti" cream cheese. All non-dairy.

It's not bad, but it does take some getting used to. The two best brands are 8th Continent and Silk, at least to me. You might try the flavored ones first because they have less of a soy taste to them.
I enjoy drinking soy shakes in the morning. Put about 1.5 cups of vanilla soy milk, 1 banana (cut up) and a few strawberries or slices of peach or other fruit in a blender. Blend it all for a few minutes and then drink it. It tastes mostly like banana.

What??? No he didn't say that!! Get another doctor. He's been misinformed just like the rest of us.
Soy foods increase the body's requirement for vitamin D.
Fragile proteins are denatured during high temperature processing to make soy protein isolate and textured vegetable protein.
Processing of soy protein results in the formation of toxic lysinoalanine and highly carcinogenic nitrosamines.
Free glutamic acid or MSG, a potent neurotoxin, is formed during soy food processing and additional amounts are added to many soy foods.
Soy foods contain high levels of aluminum which is toxic to the nervous system and the kidneys.
Whole milk is best!!
Either raw or pasturized from grass fed cows not given antibiotics or hormones. Powdered milk has oxidized cholesterol. It's the oxidized cholesterol that caused arteries to clog up. Powdered milk is added to 1% and 2 % milk by the way.
Soy is not the miracle food everyone thinks or rather what the Soybean industry want everyone to think.

Yeah! Try vanilla soy milk that's the kind we use in my house. Use plain soy milk for like when you are cooking and it requires milk so it wont taste like vanilla. Also try Soy Shake! It tastes delicious!

Why are you scared to try it? Soy milk is all we drink in our house. It took alot of trial and error with different brands to find the ones that we all like. For regular milk, we really like Soy Dream Original. It tastes the most like cows milk to us. I like fat-free Trader Joe's brand soy milk (in the yellow box). You may have to try a few brands before you find one you like. Poke around online for coupons for different brands, or call your local Wild Oats, Whole Foods, Trader Joes, or similar market to see if they are offering a tasting anytime soon. Our Wild Oats has one every other month or so.
Try it -- you just may like it!

What's to be scared of? It's got a soy taste, it's okay. You want to look into soy toxins because nothing in this world is necessarily perfect.

I tried the chocolate variety, once. Here's what it tastes like:
Go out in the front yard and stuff a handful of grass in your mouth. When it's half-chewed, toss in two M&Ms.
If that sounds good to you, you'll love chocolate soy "milk".

If you only drink cow's milk, don't forget to try plain soymilk if you hate the sweetness of the chocolate or vanilla soymilks. Chocolate and vanilla flavors are LOADED with sugar, which can overwhelm you if you put it on sweet cereal or want a contrast with your brownie.
