God bless you! I have toasted skin from working in a steel foundry so I hate the heat.
Fans are only good until 90 degrees and then you are just blowing hot air. We used to put water behind huge fans blow a mist. Also, we used to string garden hoses above the ceiling with pinholes in them and let the water drip down on us.
I still think you can air condition the place though, without getting everyone wet.

Best you can probably do is have a misting system setup in areas to allow people an area to go to cool off. You can also setup areas with tarps to provide some shaded areas.
But you really can't air condition the outside. I mean it's probably possible but it would take much more in the way of resources than what it's worth.

I have seen massive AC's used for outdoor tents that make them rather cold. I was at a tennis tournament in Ohio when I saw a tent about 30' by 20' and all sides were enclosed save about 8' width on each side. I have no idea where to find them, but I know they exist.

Put up a tent, can make a cheap one using bedsheets or something. The shade will keep people cooler than being in the sun. Then you could have a little rotating fan so that the air circulates under the tent

I like what they did at Universal Studios. While you're waiting in line for a ride, they have mist system all around you that keeps you cool.. I don't know if this would be good idea for theater since you have to sit in one spot for at least 2 h, maybe you would get soaked.

Have it be a swimsuit thing, where people sit in water basin seats Have many trees around the theater area, to provide shade. Perhaps there is a solar-powered AC unit you could use.

Extension cords + Big Fans = Air =)
Or you could get a lot of those little fans, or even sell some of those hand held ones and make more $$.

Your only realistic option is large fans... AC would be way to costly and any breeze will blow the cold air away in a second.
