Go for the Broadcasting and Communications, but try to get a minor in acting/theater as well. This will help show that you're capable of memorizing lines and playing off the reactions of the people around you. You will probably also want to take a lot of public speaking classes (possibly connected with the Communications part of your degree, I'm not entirely sure since I'm going for Secondary Education and not Communications).

See if you can find a school that will let you double-major (Albright College does - Class of '08!!), then you can get your communications degree and also focus on acting, theater, and more. If you're unsure, always call the school and they'll be more than happy to help you. You can request a Course Catalog from them too and that will let you see what each class is about, how it can be linked to your major, and more! It's also a life-saver when you're trying to pick out classes!

GOOD LUCK!

Different schools may call it different things. Either Broadcasting or Communications, or Broadcast communications. An "acting" major, is called Theatre.

yes, you would want something along the lines of broadcasting and communication (it may be called something slightly different at different schools, just look in the communication department). Acting would be theater classes at most schools.
