Why are women put off by men that like women younger than they are?

The perception is that older people looking to date younger people are shallow and lustful.

I personally think if you truly are in love it should not matter as long as both parties are of legal age and are honest with one another.

there is nothing wrong with small age differences either way, I just think it is robbing the cradle if someone who is say 40 is with someone that is 18, that is crazy. Or a 49 year old woman with a 32 year old man.
I guess the rule for me is if they are old enough to be or are older than your parents, it is wrong

If you dump a woman for someone way younger yes they will be put off because you make them feel old, not good enough because of their age. But if the person is closer to your age because the woman was old enough to be your mom, well I would think that is understandable.

well no, i guess those women are traditional. usually, men are older because men mature much slower than women. so an older man and a younger woman are usually on the same maturity level

Because we are all mothers at heart and when an older guy goes out with a very young girl it is sick like what the hell are you doing, you think back was i mature enough at that age to make the right desion to go out with such an older man the answer is sometimes know so u think about that girl and ask does she know what she is getting into, in my experiance guys go out with younger girls because they are easier to manipulate and control because they are not old enough to know that something is not right. or that they should not be treated that way.

I'm 29 and my boyfriend is 50. I LOVE older men. Always have. I've never dated anyone younger, or close to my age.

i guess those women are just jealous. remember women are much more sensitive about age then men are. unless we're talking underage women like under 18. then that's just gross if the male is older than like 24. and of course any sex is going to be attracted to a younger sex (WITHIN REASON OF COURSE!)

i don't know about all women, but I am 45 and I have sons in their 20's. The thought of going out with someone that age just kind of creeps me out. It would be like going out with my son's friend. Also, the people who say age is just a number are lying. There is also a maturity level difference.

Hell yeah they do. There is a womans group called the cougars. These are women in their 40's that date guys between 21 and 30.

I think it depends on how much younger you are talking about. I once dated a man 11 years younger than I was, but the maturity level was too great. He was much too mature for me. lol. That is actually the truth.

i think its because a lot of women don't understand men and don't take the time to try im a women and i don't think age matters when it comes to men and women as long as both of u r minors or both of u r adults
