God is the healer, faith is the ability. those who've faith in regard to the curse of maximum cancers, those who pray adversarial to it, won't be able to take care of it without pondering the subsequent verse, Matt. 17:21. I am so sorry you have been so misinformed...Jesus listens only to prayers of those who are praying for converts to their faith. He pays no attention to things that are marginally interesting to him...human life, human suffering, the day to day living. From what I can determine, he is much more concerned about sending souls to hell than in saving lives of the living. IF you get cancer, it will have nothing to do with those praying you get it...that is about as effective as praying to be cured of cancer. IF I contract cancer, trust that I will pray to the American Cancer Society and hope that they have raised enough funds to help me battle the disease. From what I see here, your "Christian" friends will be too busy telling me to "read the bible" to have time to write a check to the ACS, or any entity other than their pastors checking account.

Christians don't pray for bad things or put hexes or curses on people in Jesus name.

don't ask them to do that! That's too funny though. I would never put a hex on you, Jim. But, I've decided not to pray for a cure for cancer just because it contradicts my beliefs as an atheist. I hope you're not disappointed. ;)

We don't want you to get cancer.
We want you to stick around for as long as possible.
One reason why is that it increases your time on earth, and hence gives you added time and opportunity to find God.
