I had a friend who would cry when commercials came on or at songs. It started as soon as she conceived. Different for everybody.

Well I am currently 6 months pregnant, and starting from as soon as about 6 weeks I was extremely up and down I would cry for absolutely no reason what so ever, even have extreme panic attacks at times.
I know that for every one its different, but most pregnancy books and websites will tell you that the first trimester is usually the worse as far as being wacked out from hormones. But now in my 2nd trimester, I am still up and down at times.
If you are pregnatn, or knwo someone who is, just expect it soon, and because you know what it is, you will be better able to deal with it

Well I'm 6 weeks pregnant and I have a calender that I read daily and it tells me how my body is changing. It says about the 6th week that's when the emotional rollarcoster begins. It is so right. I can't decide if I'm mad, sad, happy, or all of the above. It can last way until your 3rd trimester. Good luck. Also could just be depression. Are you pregnant?

I get really emotional right away, probably within the first month. Mostly crabby because I'm terribly tired. I take things really personal and am horrible to be around the whole 9 months. Even when I think I'm aware of it, the hormones take over and I'm a mess.

i noticed my emotions progressively get worse as time went on. the first trimester i'd say i was maybe 7 or 8 wks before i really had to check myself on silly thoughts.
then, my second trimester was just total happiness.
now, my third trimester around 30 wks. i really had to watch myself!
for me it wasn't really bad until around 30 wks.
