It's all a bunch of baloney.

Atkins is a low carb diet, but there are others out there. Just eat a healthy balanced diet.

Atkins, originally was a very specific diet that was low carb and high protein. Atkins is a low carb diet, but not all diets are low carb.

Atkins works as well as any other dieet and in my opion when I was trying to lose weight was easier to stick too for the first couple days, but impossible long term, becasue carbs are an absolute necessity. I would stick to a well balanced diet and avoid the low carb concept. Stick to South beach or LA weight loss or a doctor recommended diet

Adkins is a kind of low carb diet, like bologna is a kind of meat.
General rule of tumb diets don't work, you have to change your lifestyle to get any real results, better food, exercise, and you have to maintain that diet and exercise for likely the rest of your life, some things may change but eating only so many calories and from a variety of sources and geting a full body workout are needed for complete body health.

No ... the adkins diet has different levels, one of which is a completely carb free diet.

And it's not a bunch of baloney. It helps you lose weight, but in doing so you run the risk of raising your cholesterol due to the amounts of meat and chicken or fish you'd eat while on the diet. (Unless of course you eat salads, with no dressing since dressing has carbs).
