Nope, they are your ex for a reason. Remaining friends will only cause problems down the road.

You don't have to totally cut out the ex. HOwever, you may want to limit it to being civil or 'passing friends' and the reason for this is most ppl in your present or future may be insecure if you are too close to an ex.
I have experienced this sort of jealousy from my present bf but I understand why so now I leave the ex out of the pic and concentrate on my present and future. This does not mean that I hate them or anything, but it ensures that you don't have those awkward moments or memories at the wrong time.

of course it's okay! you might actually want to stay close with them, if you want to. because you'll find that when you stay close with exes, you can become really really good friends.

YEAH IT'S OKAY, JUST DON'T BRAG OR COMPLAIN TO YOUR GF/BF ABOUT THEM. ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAD SEX WITH THEM. AND THE BIGGY............ DON'T SPEND MORE TIME W/ YOUR EXES THAN YOU DO YOUR BF/GF. CUZ IF YOU DO ALL THIS THEY WILL GET MAD AND THINK YOU WANT THEM BACK OR YOUR CHEATING CUZ IF YOU HAD SEX WITH THEM THEY WILL THIN SOMETHING IS HAPPENING IF YOUR ALONE. THERES ALWAYS THAT CHANCE.
