Yes! Absolutely. They tax to death everything else that is unhealthy. My cigarettes, my beer... Twinkies are disgusting, too, and should be TAXED to the death. Just one pack of Hostess products will probably shorten your life more than 1 pack of cigarettes. They are gross, and it is unpleasant to watch people eat them. In my opinion much more unpleasant than second hand smoke. I once actually vomited from watching a fat lady dance.

What...for people overweight??? YES!! Unless it's medically proven they have a thyroid problem or something that they have NO control over. People who are obese should pay more money in taxes and maybe they'd start losing weight....my own dang mother included, it's ridiculous. America has become to dang fat and too dang lazy these days and it's not healthy for the person and it's hard on the family members who have to watch them and they have a poorer quality of life.....my mom can't hike with me or even walk up stairs without almost passing out. LOSE WEIGHT AMERICA!!!!! GET OFF YOUR LAZY BUTTS!!!

Should there be an anorexic tax sense so many people are now starving themselves to fit into the body image that society says they should have? No, there shouldn't so there shouldn't be a fat tax either. Let people look how they want, whats it to you?

If you mean an additional tax on overweight people, then no.
If you mean additional taxes and fines for corporations who manufacture, market, and sell foods that have hydrogenated fats, artificial food colors, nitrites, nitrates, sulfites, sugar, artificial sweeteners, and preservatives added to them, then yes, that would probably be a good idea. We might actually see some less fattening foods being sold if that were to happen.

Don't mean to answer a question with a question, but how the heck would you establish and regulate that?
If you gave a viable description, reason (that doesn't oppress people or step on their rights), and a way to actually apply a "fat tax", I might think about it, but otherwise, um, no.

YES! Obese people get sick more, it drives up the cost of my medical insurance. Ever try to sit in a seat next to one on the airplane? Half my seat that I paid for is being taken up by there fat @ss, how is that fair, if they paid for 1/2 my fair then I wouldn't mind, but they don't! Hmmm I could go on and on...
