Why is it that when a Muslim, Hindu, Budhist, etc. say that their religion is the only way, they are just devout, but when a Christian says that Jesus is the only way, they are an intolerant, religous fanatic?

That is an excellent point! Thank you so much!

I think it is because no one wants to accept that Christians are right and are backed up with loads of historical and archaelogical evidence as well as recorded documents. Other religions require way too much faith...

The followers of Hinduism and Buddhism do not believe that their religion is the only way. These two religions are some of the most tolerant religions towards other religions that I have ever read about. A basic study of world religions would confirm that. If you are unfamiliar with a particular religion, why not learn about it before making assumptions? Surely you would want someone to give the same respect to your religion?

I understand your point though of how many people falsely assume that all Christians are fanatical. Obviously, this is untrue. It is unfortunate that the loud minority fringe groups of all religions seem to get all of the attention and make the rest of religious people look bad.

Not all Christians are intolerant of other faiths. Many are informed and understanding of other religions while being true to what they feel is right for them.

You tell me!
HaHa! Get it, get it, why are christians intolerant religious fanatics? That's what you asked! Alright, maybe you don't think that's funny, but I hope someone will. Alright, never mind. Not funny.
Anyway, it's because those people represent a small part of the demographic here, so people don't have a chance to build up a strong sense of intolerance. It's still at the curiosity stage, ya know?
And I've seen lots of people (correctly) call some crazy vehement(frankly slightly illogical) atheists intolerant fanatics. So chrisitans aren't the only ones.

Dear Antonio,
We Muslims love our Christian brothers and sisters. The only thing we want to make you realise is that there is not a single unequivocal statement in the complete bible where Jesus (pbuh) himself says that I am God or where he says worship me. Infact, he said "My father is greater than I", "My father is greater than all", "I of my ownself can do nothing, as I hear, I judge and my judgement is just for I seek not my will but the Will of my Father". You believe in Bible? Tell me where Jesus (pbuh) claimed divinity? Do you know Sheikh Yousuf? He was an American Christian. He reverted to Islam and now he is a Da'ee. Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world, 234%. What do you think that all those people who are reverting to Islam are fools? Christanity is at No. 2, 45%. Its good to know that you have at least read the portions of Quran.
In reference to your question which was asked one week ago that, "What do you think about Islam and West?" In this question, you chose the best answer of a person who criticised against Muslims. He said that Muslims are not peaceful and not trustworthy. One thing I don't understand is why do non-muslims blame Islam for the deeds of Muslims?? Islam is not responsible for the wrongs that pseudo Muslims do. If you want to judge a car and if you want to know how good the car is and if a driver who doesn't know how to drive the car, sits and drives and bangs up the car, who will you blame? The driver or the car?? But natural, the driver cause he didn't know how to drive the car. Tell me one thing, Can I blame Christanity because Hitler burnt 6 million Jews alive?? Can I? Quran is the most scientific religious scripture. There is not a single verse in the Quran which contradicts with science. I challenge you to point out a single. Bible has many unscientific facts. I am not here to criticize any faith but I have to speak the truth. Bible has been translated into more than 2000 (two thousand) different languages. Quran has been translated in less than 100 languages. Inspite of this, it is the fastest growing religion.
If you have any misconception about Islam, you are most welcome to ask me at:

Hope I have not hurt your feelings!!

I disagree - all religions proclaim the same thing - that theirs is the only one true religion. And anyone who believes that crap is a religious fanatic - no matter if you are hindu, islamic, christian or bugaboo.

Its muslims and christians who believe that not only are they right, but that all other should die or burn in hell for disagreeing. If thats not fanaticism, then what the f*ck is?

Satan HATES Jesus, and God, and anyone who follows them. The other religions are his. He is trying to get all Christians onto his side so that he can control the worlds population and stop Christs second coming, which he will not be able to do, because there WILL be a small group that will NOT follow him, or the world, and he will NOT be able to make them, or to kill them off before Christs second coming.

John 3:16
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. 17God did not send his Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it.

18"There is no judgment awaiting those who trust him. But those who do not trust him have already been judged for not believing in the only Son of God. 19Their judgment is based on this fact: The light from heaven came into the world, but they loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil. 20They hate the light because they want to sin in the darkness. They stay away from the light for fear their sins will be exposed and they will be punished. 21But those who do what is right come to the light gladly, so everyone can see that they are doing what God wants."

Because that is what Christianity REALLY teaches: Intolerance.

Anyone who does not believe as they do must be converted, rebirthed, then forgiven for their wicked ways.

There's some quote in their bible about their god being the one, true god. So, it's a self-fulfilling prophecy of sorts because they convert people from other faiths, convert indigenous peoples (via missions), etc.

This is part of what drives them.

uhm, anyone saying that their religion is the only way is at least arrogant and ignorant...if they act on it to harm others, then they're fanatics and zealots.

all religions have equal capacity to be abused.
