I recently went off the bc pill in april. My period has been irregular up until now. My last period was on June 22 and my husband and i tried on day 10, 11, 13, and 15. As of today im on day 21. Yesterday and today i'v had spotting and alittle cramping. Could this be the egg latching on??? And also w/ the day I tried am i more likely to have a boy or a girl.. I already have a son.

as of yesterday you were on day 21 you have to count the day you started your period as the first day...which means you would have ovulated somewhere between july 3-7 and your peak day should have been the 5th of july... the way you are counting that means you had sex on the 2nd, 3rd,5th,and 7th....you should be on your way to a baby....lol you have enough sperm to last you a week ..and the day that you do it during the ovulation cycle holds no water at all take it from somebody who has a boy and wants a girl and i am 4 months pregnant now the doc says that it is whoever wins the race...boys swim faster girls live longer but as much sex as you had during the ovulation period who knows what you will have because it is impossible to know exactly what day you ovulated...but you have one hell of a chance of being prego that is for damn sure....good luck....

it sounds like you had sex on the days you should have been ovulation and therefore have a chance of getting pregnant. The bleeding could be implantation bleeding. It sounds like you have done everything to get pregnant this month - of course, sometimes it doesn't happen right away. As far as boy or girl, the day doesn't really have anything to do with it. It is which of the little swimmers breaks into the egg first - sometimes the boy wins, sometimes the girl wins! :)

My ex girlfriend is an RN. She told me the optimal time for creating a baby would be the 10-15 day range. As far as the day designating either male or female; don't think that has anything to do with it.

well you should have tried closer to days 18-23. those are the days before the period begins when the egg is in the perfect spot to be fertilized. sounds like you missed your chance this time and you're about to have a period.

i am not sure. i stop taking the pill at the end of April as well. i just found out last week i am preg. not sure what to tell you other than good luck and say a prayer. the lord knowes when it is time for you and your husband. try not to stress to much. that cant help!
