She's told everyone repeatedly that she wants to be a cat and likes to eat Fancy Feast. Do you think this will affect her socially later on?

A family friend's kid used to do stuff like that all the time. She said she was going to grow up to be a cat and groomed herself all the time. It's just a phase...she'll grow out of it in a year or so.

I ahve a friend that loves to pretend/just be and animal..Escpecial dalmations...?? She does it because she said she likes the feeling of freedom and being different. Maybe tell your friend that her daughter is NOT mental, just try to gently help her ind another thing to do. Like new sayings, or meet other people that don't like that stuff....IDK...Good luck to ya!

She's just going through a phase. Let her be. I once wanted to be Santa Claus and walked around with a fake beard. (But my wife made me stop.)
