is she maybe afraid of the big pottys? what if maybe you got one of those travel toddler potty seat rings for her to carry around as a reminder? that way it would remind her to go and it would be "her" seat.

My 3 year old has been potty-trained since 18 months, so I got used to always being near a potty. I make her go when I go even tho she says she doesn't need to, she always does once she gets on the potty. When shopping we always go as soon as we get to a store, and when we leave if we're on a long trip home. If she can't remember, then remember for her. She's only four and shopping gives different stimulous to excite her and keep her from thinking of day-to-day things, different from home, grandma's and school where things tend to be a routine. Good luck.

well some school have little toilets. So it could be a fear of your toilet. There are some potty's where the top comes off and sit right on top of your regular toilet. If it's not too expensive see if you can get a Disney princess seat or seat cover. I know girls are into the princesses now. Offer reward when she goes without waiting until the last minute. I have a small container of candy in my restroom for encouragement.

It can be extremely frustrating i totally understand!
Constantly reminding and taking them even if they say i don't need to go, not making a big fuss over accidents. Just say "OK so you've had an accident ,not a problem let's get you cleaned up. you'll remember next time won't you" Lots of praise when she dose tell you and is successful when she goes. Ouite often they get so distracted by what they are doing or what's happening around them that they simply miss the sign and forget.
i found this worked best for me

What we did, and still do since our youngest is only 2, is to make sure they go before we leave the house. Then if it takes us more than 1/2 an hour to get where we are going we go to the washroom before we start shopping. They don't always have to go, but this has stopped accidents and the need to quickly find a washroom!

Well strange as it may sound my 9 year old lil bro is the same and doesnt go until mum says "Do you need to go?" she just keeps an eye out for the signs - They have no problem anywhere else - Strangely same with my 11 year old little brother - mum has to take him while hez asleep so he doesnt wet the bed...but i think they will grow out of it - i didnt have that problem so i dont kno - but mumz just gotten used to knowing the signs (even when they're asleep). She'll grow out of it.

put pull ups on her when out in public like in the grocery store. my son is three and hates the big smelly public bathooms. they arent private and at this age they want to be all alone. most grocery stores have fithy restrooms. make her go before you leave as well and make trips short. dont assume she doesnt need to go take her to the bathroom and put her on the toilet when you see its been awhile. shes afraid and not going to ask you have to show her its ok take control mom

I think that you may have some luck if you set up a potty schedule for her. I had to do that with my youngest and she's an old pro now at age 5.

Of course you don't punish or abuse for this or anything of the sort. Best solution is to praise them and maybe make a reward for this kind of action with a little treat or game or surprize so they want to go to the bathroom or whatever the chore might be;Make it a FUN thing!

Do you make sure she potties before you leave to go out in public? If not try doing that just so she won't need to go also say that you need to go potty and ask her to come with you then you say o why we are in here why don't you try to go potty also.
