Recommendations for night life in Beijing?

I will be going there this summer, and staying in the Wanfujing area of Beijing. There is a wonderful night market nearby where all kinds of street food are sold. It's called the Donghuamen Night Market. You should check it out.

Sanlitun is pretty cool to go out. Nanjie and Kai Bar are the cheapest and coolest Bars there.

Houhai could be a nice area, but it's too expensive and the bars around the lake are always empty. Go to Huxley's in Houhai backstreet, another cheap bar. An awesome cute little Bar is "Pretty girl Bar" it's down the road from Huxley's above a little cloth shop.

Wudaokou is probably the cheapest area in Beijing, lots of students there, lots of Koreans :-) Go to "Club Propaganda" for Dancing or "Lush" to meet Foreigners and listen to good music.

Houhai is a good bar area.

There is also a bar area near Worker's Stadium

Saliutan is another bar area.

At some point there is going to be a "Face Bar" opening in Beijing. The one in Shanghai is great, I would expect the one if Beijing to be of a similar quality.

some clubs are: mix, vics, & babyface (all 3 are located just outside of worker's stadium)...if you're in the university area of wudaokou, propaganda is pretty good...and lush is a cool place to chill. you can go to the bar street, sunlitun...i believe it's in chaoyang district (cab drivers should know exactly where it's at). there's a cool salsa club called latinos w/a live band from venezuela i believe. though i've never been, a lot of people that i knew loved club banana b/c it has a dance floor on hydrolics. try to pick up a "that's beijing" magazine, as there are a lot of good listings in the back for bars and clubs.

please do not go to strip clubs and the such
