You first have to move the shooting mode out of the Basic Zone setting and into the Creative Zone settings. That is the round knob on the top left of the eye piece. That is P, TV, AE,M or A-DEP. Raw is not available in the Basic Zones. Once you have it in the creative zone then you can select RAW and JPG. Check the review on DP Review to get a quick layman's explaination of the features and operations.

I have the Canon Rebel XT, and the SanDisk 1gb ultra II card. You can easily set it to jpeg + raw just by these steps.

Turn the camera dial to P

press the menu button

select quality

then choose RAW + (fine)L

chances are you have the camera dial set on the green box, so you can't select it.

You should check the manual to see if your camera has that feature. It wouldn't have anything to do with your card. I know my Nikon D200 has the option to shot in both at once.

i have the model before the and all i have to do to get those: jpeg is defaulted unless i tell it to take raw specifically. i choose what type i want under menu - quality and it says large, large (but worse quality), medium, medium (but worse), small, small (but worse), and then RAW. hope that helps.
