Why is it that men can sleep around and they become known as players but if women do it they're whores?

I had this interesting conversation with this guy about this situation and he said bcuz a man is always a player and i told him women can't be players is that what you're saying. He responed as if women don't know the game of life. I think we are smarter than them. Do you agree?

Women have the power of sex that's the bottom line. If my girl doesn't want have sex we're not having sex but when shes in the mood I wont say no lol. Now if a girl or women gives it up that easy they are taking the power away, degrading all females. Now most of men are horny at any time of the day, if the opportunity is there they will take it. A woman can walk up to any guy and offer to have sex, I guarantee you the guy is not going to say no (it doesn't happen that often or it has not happen to me at least). Guys plan, shared tips among each other, used lines and have strategies on how to get a woman to sleep with them. Having a one stand is a big accomplishment for a guy. Man who get it more then a regular man are called players for that reason. Is a title they carry for accomplishing the goal of sleeping with as many women as possible.

Wow!!! Tough question, but I'll give you my take:

Men have always been expected to "sow their oats" in a matter of speaking but at the same time they've been told to find a "woman of purity and virtue" as a wife...etc...etc. It's obviously a contradiction and the whole situation is a double standard.

Women DEFINITELY know the "game of life" as you call it but both men and women are/can be players, but I think that I will say that women are definitely better at being "discreet" about it...whereas men tend to be a little less so.

I've had my share of girlfriends and flings but in my experience I've learned that it's better that I don't ask how many guys a girl has been with before me lest I get an answer that I may not have been prepared to hear.

Bottom line...everyone has "history," some more extravagant than others...lol, but men and women both do their share of "whoring around."

As far as women being smarter than men....I'm not touching that one...LMAO!!

Well i don't if that is necessarily true about the smarter part. I mean dont get me wrong some men are stupid and some women are stupid. Some women are smarter then men but not all of them. I mean i have a PHD from Yale, that makes me smarter then most people in general. However i think that socially men have always been more dominate in society then women, and its because of this that they are called whores and men are players. However i do not agree with this by any means, this is solely my personal opinion.

this will be my last answer in this section...(it was fun!). there is nothing wrong with a woman who sleeps around when she is single. as long as it's not a different guy every week....if she is careful and uses condoms and birth control and makes decent choices in who she is sleeping with, it's cool to do it. i say it's just fine to try out a new man every 3 months while you are single. some people would call that a wh*ore, i call it a woman who learns all kinds of fun tricks and knows exactly what she wants in a partner by the time she decides to settle down with one man forever. i call a girl like that a "tramp" it's so much nicer than wh*re. the answer is....he's the man. (if he is single!), if he's married and sleeping around, he's a pathetic, selfish, homewrecking loser.

Men believe it is in a man's nature to conquer a woman who is seen as a prize or something special. Women cater to this thought process by chasing men who are out sleeping around trying to tame the un-tamable. However, sometimes men lose not only desire but respect for some women that every man has had. In the lose of respect a woman is belittled by everyone (Even other women).

I believe we were made mentally smarter than them, to compensate for the fact that physically they're strong than we are. It's a double standard, for a guy to sleep with a lot of women is "cool", it makes him a player because he has so many "conquests". For a woman, they're whorish simply because society says we should be monagamus. I know women who play men just as a player would play women, therefore in their own right they have a "playette status". I think one should do what they want, as long as their protected and willing..go for what ya know. Just be mindful of STD's and society's close-mindedness. Men are called 'players' and women are called 'whores' for the same conduct because we all continue to believe it is true...and allow ourselves to be judged that way. The biggest ducks in this puddle are we women- we do it to each other by calling each other "that slut" "*****" "whore" and treating men like they are choiceless little boys without a brain above the waist. to me, men that consider themself as players are whores too, it's the same **** with a different name. I personally would not go out with a man with a reputation as a player, they make me sick. They don't respect woman and they have personality problems.
