My 3 year old daughter has been potty trained completely since 18 months (her choice). Our neighbor is 6 and pees her pants on a regular basis (she's very spoiled by her mother). When they are playing and the neighbor pees her pants, then my daughter takes off her own underwear and the other day she had an accident of her own and acted proud of it. She must think it's cool to be like her older neighbor. I don't think it's cool at all. I told the 6 year old she couldn't pee her pants at my house, but don't know what else to do.

First of all, hold your daughter responsible for the clean up. She can rinse out the wet clothing, put them in the laundry, clean any wet area, and put on dry clothing. Don't help her! She will get bored with it and stop.

I would also say to your daughter "If you're going to choose to pee your pants when you play with "Emma" then I'm not going to let you play with her. When you can play with "Emma" and stay dry then you can play with her again." Keep your daughter away from her friend until she tells you she is ready to stop the behavior. You can also tell "Emma" that she can come over when she is ready to stay dry. Good luck!

I wouldn't worry too much. She probably just wants to change her clothes! My daughter is about the same age and will use any excuse to put on a new outfit in the middle of the day, she just loves clothes! She has told me that her panties were wet, when they weren't. I doubt your daughter was proud of having an accident but that that it lead to something she enjoys, being naked or changing clothes! I would definitely limit her time with a spoilt child of any age.

also, I was potty trained at the age of one--my choice also, and at the age of four I started having accidents....my mom used to beat the hell outt me..finally one day I asked her "mommy why does God make it hurt so bad when we pee?", for almost a year I had lived with a malfunctioned and TOO small urethra, desperatly in need of surgery...what I am saying is the 6 year old might not just be spoiled honey.

have you talked to the 6 year olds parents this is a sign of sexual abuse. children will find something they can control when their life is out of control this mightbe it for her. ask the older child if anyone touches them in their private places dothis with another adult present. talk to the childs parents
