What do you think about having friends who inocently lie to you about things all the time becuase they think it is funny? The longer they can keep you hanging, the funnier theythink it is. Unfortunately it is at one persons expense.

yes...unfortunately...these things still exist even as you grow into adulthood...some people seem to get their kicks like this....its immature and pretty small minded....it makes you wonder...(it seems "innocent" but its really not...especially on the recieving end) I have no answer for this other than some people need to screw with people to make themselves have some kind of "power"...maybe you have some qualities that makes them feel they need to do this to you....jealousy in some form is usually at the root of every negative behavior towards someone.

I've found that many of these people are obsessed with being "the life of the party" or "the favorite". They like to have an answer to everything, constantly joking and want 100% attention on them at all times. Its completely immature and highly offensive and obnoxious to an intellectual. Usually, if they are "messing" with you its because you are taking away their spot light.

i knew a person like that. it can cause a lot of problems. trust me. i finally was able to loose contact with that person. it feels great to not have to worry about the bull that did'nt ever matter to me in the first place. it is their way of life not mine. their are about 4.5 billion people in the world. don't waste your time with those that upset you!

I would say they have low self esteem - and "putting one over you" in a joke makes them feel better - for a while anyway.

I wouldn't have a whole lot of respect for someone like that.
