Most intersections now have 'sensors' under the pavement to know when traffic is waiting. I always inch up and the light seems to change within seconds. The lights thing works too, but only late at night when no one is facing your car. I have pissed off other drivers before.

Pull up on-top the loop in the road, it is electro magnetic, its picks up metal, then the timer on the traffic light will begin and then the light will change.

There are two ways. One is to flash your lights on and off a couple of times and the other is to back up and pull forward againg to trigger the light. There is a devise under the road that when you run over it, it tells the light that a car is there.

Get out of the car, run to the intersection and push the crosswalk button.
Look both ways first and be sure to let the little old lady cross before you.
If you are late returning to your car, do not pass go, do not collect $200.

By putting on sunglasses of appropriate color so the composite light is what you desire the light to be. Oh, and putting on shades of right colors on the light would work too.

You need a ladder and a bulb. You take off the back cover and replace the bulb inside with the one in your hand.
ps - watch out for cars.

There are devices that change the light that police, EMS, and fire departments use, but I believe they are illegal to use if you are not an on-duty member of those departments.

I've found that waiting still in your car for a little bit does the trick quite nicely.
