People who do this have no manners.
They were never taught manneres and if they
do this in public you can imagine what they do
at home. I hate when they do this and start
picking their teeth at a public eating place.
These people are just rude,rude,rude.

Hmmm.... People in this part of the country don't consider it gross and rude, everyone who chews gum does it. It can also release some tension, some do it because of nerves.
I chew gum now & then and yes I blow bubbles and "snap" my gum. You want to talk "gross"? Have you ever stepped in gum that someont has "discarded" ? I have, not seeing the stuff on the ground (in the grass). I don't chew gum everyday, just once in awhile. If it bothers you, then the next time you're around somone "snapping" thier gum, then get on them, "STOP SNAPPING YOUR FU----G GUM, I THINK IT'S RUDE & IT BOTHERS THE H--- OUT OF ME" If they do anything then appoligize, tell them where to get off. Your the one with the gum snapping problem.
I don't care what you think about it,gnb, I'm gonna chew my gum the way I want to, NOT AS YOU WANT IT DONE!!

When I'm riding the subway, I'll snap my gum just to piss people off cause there's nothing else to do. I like the way it feels and I see how loud I can snap it. It's just as fun as blowing bubbles but you don't end up with gum stuck to your face.

I still to this day have no idea what "snapping" gum is. I think it's rude if they chew with their mouths open though.

some people (like me) did it when they were little and it's just become a habit. I don't even know that I'm still chewing gum sometimes, let alone doing it in a rude manner. Sorry on behalf of all of those smackers like me out there.

I am guilty of this and wasn't aware of it until it was brought to my attention. I think it's a nervous habit or something. I did it because I liked the way it felt when I snapped it between my teeth and tongue. But since I was told about it, I try to be more conscientous.

ummmm, I guess i am one of those people. I am sorry, i didn't realize it was so annoying. I can tell you why I do it. STRESS. Gum and blowing bubbles and popping them, to me, is a stress reliever. I find it relaxing and it drops my stress level, however I guess i do need to be more aware of the people around me now, i just didn't realize that, glad you brought it to my attention though.

I'm about to go to prison for killing my co-worker if she doesn't stop doing that (Only think of it, not going to do it). All the time, popping and chewing with her mouth open, it's disgusting. Especially for a Woman.

Only thing I can think of is that they know it bothers everyone else, so they do it to aggravate you.
