No, What is important is what is on the inside. If you are ugly on the inside you are ugly on the outside.

Looks aren't definitively always important but, they CAN be. People often say they aren't but, when you see a person for the 1st time there's only the appearance to judge. So, your first assessment is usually whether you are attracted to them or not. Everything else follows suit. Now within a relationship, it CAN be important because sometimes people lose concern for their appearance which might have been one of the factors in your mate choosing you. If you carried yourself in what your mate found to be an attractive manner, get into a relationship and then change the way you carry/present yourself you could risk your mate not finding you as attractive and thus opening the door for someone else to garner his/her attention. This falls under "doing the same things to keep a person as you did to get the person." Ex: A woman that was pampered and romanced by a man in the beginning is normally very happy. If the guy just stops after he gets her, often time that hurts the woman and she may look for attention elsewhere. Same thing applies.

These people are half right. A relationship includes many aspects, including sex, and in order to have sex you have to be attracted to the person to do so. Now granted in 60 years you're both going to look like crap and it's not going to matter, but for now, looks and attraction are an equally important piece to the pie. It doesn't matter if he's coolest, nicest guy in the world... If he has a 2 inch mole on the end of his nose that grows hair a foot long it doesn't matter how good he listens or rubs your feet because all you'll be thinking about is "God that planet on his face is seriously grossing me out." Hope that helps. Cheers!

Looks get the attention, but personality is what keeps a person. I think looks are important at first, but then it does not become as important because you both learn to see each other beyond what's on the outside.

At the beginning of a relationship, sure. You need that "spark" to get the fire going. However, after you've been married and had kids and see that same person day after day, personality becomes much more important than looks.
So, DON'T get into a relationship solely on looks. It won't last.

Unless you and a person have established a previous friendship, then initial attraction is usually based on looks. I don't think that once your in a relationship AND you care about the person that looks should matter but if your not attracted to the person in some way, then that can pose a future problem.

Looks not very imporant to me in this relationship. Why? becasue did you ever see woman have been doing that for 40 years and she look so ahhhhhh! scary looks. But if you want to make your self look good and it imporant then try do something more than jsut looks.
My wife love the way I look as always. I love the way my wife looks. If you don't like see girl looks important then I wouldn't marry that person becsaue it take s 10 hrs to do that ... men only 15 mins. smiling.

Depends on what kind of a relationship you're talkin about girl...
If its simply a physical one, then obviously you're gonna have to be with someone who turns u on..so yeah, looks would matter then...
If its a "ooh!look @ me...ive got the hottest chick/dude on my arm" kinda relationship, then its like you're puttin a piece of art in an exhibition..its gotta be a "HOT" one(depending again,on what u call hot)
If its a serious one, then HELL NO IT SHOULDNT MATTER...coz serious relationships are built on 4 things: honesty, faithfulness. communication and respect.

Kind of... I like to have a somewhat nice looking guy to be my boyfriend because I like to have something nice to look at. I think guys probably think the same way. The only thing with looks that really turns me off is a guy that's really fat or a guy that wears old unstylish clothes that don't fit him.. besides that every thing's probably ok.

defenitly important, cuz u wont talk to a guy who looks wierd, looks r important for attraction, looks r important to turn u on, but looks are not important for love, but if someone cant turn u on and someone cant get your attention, then u cant fall in love with him, cuz u'll u wont know he was there, id say looks are defenitly important.
