If your definition of hell is seperation from god then I am in hell right here and now. And I have to tell you. It is actually very nice. When I was brainwashed into believing in a god that doesn't exist, I was full of guilt and superstition and judgemental attitudes that were based on other people's hatred. Now that I've realized there is no god, things are much better. I can think for myself. I can sleep as late as I want on Sundays. I don't have to give money to a church that just uses it to buy gold and pay for the lawyers of pedophile priests.
Why do people think that saying 'you're going to hell' is such a bad thing? I'll gladly take this for all eternity. Maybe the rest of you should try 'hell'.

So Bill Gates died and went to St. Peter (this is a true story, by the way) and St. Peter said, "You got a choice--you can choose right now to go to Heaven or Hell."

Bill says, "Can I see them first?"

After thinking, St. Peter says "Sure! Let's look at Heaven first..."

They magically transport into an area of people wearing long white robes and staring forward, chanting. "This is Heaven," said St. Peter.

As Bill Gates stared at the glazed-over eyes of everyone he said, "Okay, show me hell now."

Once again they magically transport into a wonderful, exciting party! People are happy, exciting, talking! Plenty of food and drink, wonderful entertainment! Everyone is just having a great time!

"I'll take hell!" Bill gates shouts.

Immediately, and with the sound of a loud crash, everyone spontaneously catches on fire and hot, molten lava rushes in. The screams are deafening and the pain is unbearable.

"HEY NO... I WANT THE PARTY, THE PEOPLE!" Shouts Bill Gates, his flesh ripping and burning. "WHERE DID EVERYTHING GO??"

St. Peter just nonchalantly says, "That was the demo."

---

I don't know if hell will involve fire and burning or not, and I'm not interested in finding out. I just know that eternity is a long time. We are promised to have a new body in Heaven and to live eternally in Grace.

Oh, you (and lots of others) probably ought to think about it sometime and figure out eventually that the "pedophile priest" really isn't a good example of a Christian life...

Apparently you haven't read your Bible enough to realize that Hell is a place where there will be "weeping and gnashing of teeth." I'm not in that much pain, so I don't see how you could be, because all who wind up in Hell will be tortured for all eternity by hellfire, brimstone and remorse and regret. Churches are supposed to be using the collections for the betterment of the people and the church; if they're misusing it, God will repay them in the end for their crimes. Same thing applies to the pedophiles, adulterers and etc. when John said in Revelation, "And the fearful and unbelieving, the sorcerers, idolaters, whoremongers and all those who loveth and maketh a lie shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone for this is the second death." Because certain people have destroyed the image of the Church doesn't render that institution impotent. It remains the responsibility of the individual to make their relationship with God be the best it can be; God will provide and bless those who are acting "decent and in order."

>>>If your definition of hell is seperation from god then I am in hell right here and now<<<

Hell is a spiritual state, not a physical one. You won't know whether you're in hell or not till after you die.

You're not in hell right here and now, nor are you in heaven. You're on earth, just like the rest of us.

Heaven and hell are spiritual states, one of which we will be in for eternity after we die. The operative words there are "after we die."

It's unfortunate that you were "full of guilt and superstition and judgmental attitudes based on other people's hatred."

If that's the way you were, then you obviously didn't know very well the God that you claimed to believe in. I'm sure it wasn't your fault, though; perhaps you were misled, by misinformed people or by secular society or even by the devil. Who knows at this point.

The world is full of millions of people who were mired in despair, hatred, negativity, and immorality before finding God. I'm one of them.

See....that's Satan's trick. Sure, on Earth, not listening to God, not believing in God...it seems like things are still okay. You seem to forget that you will die someday...and after that, you have to spend an eternity with Satan. Things won't be as nice then, I can assure you.

No, I am not a theologian. And no, I can't throw Bible scripture at you that proves it. But I know that Satan is a fallen angel, and has the power to make you think you're in the right place, even when you aren't. Whenever it seems to good to be true...it always is.

So who says you're not in touch with God? You exist, and you seem to be having some experience of the universe's order, intelligibility, and beauty. (I've got guilt, but only when I'm a jerk, not when I'm horny or stoned. And I only judge people for inveterate cruelty or perverse, willful ignorance, not for their sexual orientation or religious opinions.) Sounds like you're experiencing now a foretaste of what the universe will be like when God's patient leading, and the free cooperation of sentient beings, will have made it into Heaven in a few eons.

Theistic faith gives all life's joys a foundation, since the theist knows that they aren't just momentary meaningless spasms in the void.

The Bible tells us that God rains on the just and unjust, in other words God allows good things to happen to people who don't love him, now that's love. You may think things are going well, but when you do have problems, without God you don't have anyone to help you. Hell is separation from God, but now he's giving you a chance to get things right, if you still reject him, I guarantee you won't think hell is nice when you go to the hell that God will have for those who have rejected him. Mark my words.

I laugh when they say "you're going to hell", it sounds so stupid for human beings to think they can judge others.I personally am not an atheist, but I have no problem with it. If being an atheist makes you happy, go ahead, have all the fun you can have.
I feel the problem is not with atheist but the fact that some religious people are all ways trying to convert everyone and get frustrated when they can't. Glad my religion doesn't try to convert anyone

No you are mistaken. You are defiantly not in hell, that will come later. As for you being happier well let me explain. The devil can make sin look good for awhile. He can even make you think you are happy but the truth is that the world will die and all that inhabit it but those whose who believe will not parish but have everlasting life and that is when true happiness comes in. Easy come easy go is the life style you are living and that is sad because Jesus said that being a christian would not be easy but we would receive our true reward in Heaven. Mark my words the devil will stand by you until you have nothing left and then he will leave you too. This life you are living is not your eternity but the one you face you may want to reconsider. And no thanks on the trying hell but instead I will pray for you.

You never were in a relationship with GOD,
Now you are separated from God but still have the chance to come to him.
But in the time when your body will be 6 feet under, you will be eternally separated from God.

You are happier because that was your pricetag to sell your soul. And you didnt even know it. Your happiness will come to an end, it always does and when it does then hopefully see. My life may not be the wealthiest but that's because I gave my life to Jesus Christ, the Alpha and Omega. So when your happiness runs dry mine will last because He is the beginning and the end!
