I don't believe so. China wouldn't risk war unless something DRASTIC happened (because it would destory the trade empire they've spent years building), and Russia isn't yet prepared to go to war with another major power. Since those two nations (the only other "superpowers") don't seem eager to pick fights, and since the U.S. has no interest in any more conflicts either, I don't think a new world war will happen anytime soon.

usa needs to take out china. china's moving up and usa's in decline. if they don't do it now china will become superpower.
i think this confrontation with north korea is it. but bush wants to drag japan into the war with him to help fight china. they need good solid land bases cuz the chinese have been given all kinds of weapons by the russians that can take out aircraft carriers. it's gonna get ugly but war pigs don't care about that. they just figure if they can win and come out ahead of the other guy then it's worth it, no matter how many people die
some are predicting the "global extinction event"
basically about 4/5 of humanity will die from disease, starvation, and war.

I think so because there is some many different conflicts going on right now. N. Korea threaten if we shoot down one of their missile they will attack. In which our missile defense thing is active we tested it today and it does work. We are currently dealing with helping Iraq to get better. and Iran we are having problems with too. I am certain there are more things but I am tired so I am having trouble thinking of them.
I have a feeling it is N.Korea is going to be a cause in which it starts.
I hope that does not happen thought for every ones sake.

People think of world war III as the end, the apolcalypse, but it doesn't have to be. I believe we are in the middle of a world war--some of the weapons are cold, some economic--but everyone seems to be in the fray in one way or the other. Hopefully it doesn't get to the size we think when we think WWIII; ie. hopefully most of us live though it. Interesting times though, interesting times.

To be honest I don't know.
I don't think so becuase all the other countries know we could probably win. But yet they still try and piss us off by mkaing nuclear bombs behind our backs.
