I often go to the bar w my girls, just to hang, get my appletini, play pool whatever.... I have a bf and I'm very happy w/ him, but guys buy me drinks everytime I go out, and I'm definitely not trying to go home with them, but I like the gesture (and it saves me money).

As a man speaking I think it's okay. As long as your not initiating anything towards these men after or before getting this unexpected gesture. That's what some men do when flirting is to buy you a drink to start a conversation. When no thing other than a thanks is your response it needs to be chalked up as pure chivalry of a man.

When I buy a drink for a woman, its not to get into her pants (or even skirt), at the most its to get a smile out of her. Now if we get to talking and she is single all night until the end and she has to go home to her boyfriend, its not right but doesn't sound like you pretend to be single in the least. Let them buy you drinks, and if they really freak out then they're just looking for a "good time" and you don't need that drama anyway

Well,

You hang out with girlfriends in bars, (I like your priorities)

You accept free drinks (the symbolic gesture that says I want to talk to you about getting in your panties)

You accept the invitation with no chance of the man actually getting you (so you misrepresent yourself)

Then you are all happy because you didn't have to pay (so you are cheap and selfish deceiver hanging out in bars without your boyfriend) You should be feeling a little sleazy by now.

How would you feel about your boyfriend hanging out in bars and buying women drinks?

I have a bf and guys buy me drinks all the time too! If men know you have a bf and still want to buy you drinks, then by all means let them. If they're that stupid! My guy loves it when guys buy me drinks! It saves him money! haha Just be very, very careful. Some men may try and put drugs in your drinks. Watch out for the slimeballs! Enjoy being young, beautiful, and in love...

It depends on the motive of the woman and the amount of payback expected from the guy. If it is just a guy buying a drink and a woman saying thank you I appreciate it ( a compliment sort of thing) sure. but if it is a woman acting crazy so she can get free drinks from a guy who thinks he is buying a booty call then no. If you see a guy is obviously seriously interested and not just being nice refuse the drink.

As long as they don't expect anything in return. I use to go out with $10 in my pocket and come home with more (pool winnings). This one guy bought me about 5 drinks one night when I went out by myself and I got up to go he says, "hey, don't I get anything for those drinks I bought for you?" I looked at him and said, "You bought me those drinks expecting something in return?" in a loud voice which got all the women's attention. And by the end he was almost begging me to leave. Then I went and threw some dollars on the bar and told the bartender to get him a drink. Be careful who you accept them from.

I think it's ok to accept a drink, if you have any interest in that person. Otherwise don't accept it. You always get these brothers who want to hang around and think you owe them something. But if a brother understands that you aren't available, and its just a drink among friends, then by all means drink up.

regulars that hang out at bars like to buy pretty ladies a drink with no string attached sometimes they may just wave at you.some men like to do nice things. My mother goes to the bars 4 times a week and men always send her free drinks and she don't know their names .she has the waitress to say thank you.If you cross the line and start a conversation then they may try to hit on you.

There is nothing wrong with that as long as your not leading them on. You could put yourself in danger. I will accept a free drink any day!! Do your thing- keep having fun and saving money.
