Not sure, but I've seen studies that say the contrary. I've also experienced the effects of intercessory prayer, so studies aren't always accurate.

Whatever "study" came to this conclusion, you can rest assured that it is faulty.
There are plenty of examples of intercessory prayer working. I know this from my own personal life.
