A baby Bunny !?
That is some hunter.
As you say, it's a sign of love and affection and an acknowledgment that you're the alpha in the pack.
If it wears a collar, put a bell on it, this might give birds warning of the cats approach, though there's not a lot you can do to protect young birds that haven't yet learned by experience.
As for the rest, sorry, that is natures way and there's not much you can do about it.
Mine used to bring me worms and slugs as well - try stepping on one of those when you get up in the morning ! Yuk !
Regular, and sufficient, feeding helps reduce the hunting instinct and the need for food.

LOL, I don't know, when you find out tell me! I get a lovely deat rat on my doorstep every morning in the spring and summer, sometimes 3 or 4 a day. I am just thankful that they dont bring them in the house. One time she did and I swatted her and fussed so now she comes to the door with something in her mouth I say you cant bring that in really sternly and she puts it down and trots into the house. Whatever methods work for you to train them - you may be able to train him to put the dead things in a certain corner of the yard or something but cat instinct is strong and I doubt seriously you will be able to get him to stop killing these things.
My thoughts, and now I am going to try it because I hate cleaning up those things. is to put a shallow bucket where they usually bring them, then , with the cat present put the dead thing into the shallow bucket- keep the bucket where the cat usually puts the dead things and every time there is one show them that is where it belongs, maybe eventually they will get the idea and drop it in there instead of on the porch, then cleanup will be a snap- I will be working on that this week.

When you find out, let me know. I was in the kitchen last night and there was a large mole waiting for me with the cat looking just as proud as can be. He's usually not like that because he's so well fed but every once in awhile it's like he has to prove himself and show his skill. We had one cat that brought birds in the house. We came home one day and there were three of them flying around. I guess she figured she needed some inside toys :) What I don't like finding is the half eaten things :( The neighbor just said to keep the cat in the house to stop it.

This is a big controversy even among cat lovers, but outdoor cats kill tens of millions of songbirds, lizards, frogs, etc. every year. At one time this was the job of the barnyard cat, but it has really become a serious ecological problem as there are more cat owners living closer together and significant habitat loss. So do yourself and your cat a favor and keep him inside. That will also prevent him from connecting with some poisonous varieties of critters that can cause nerve damage or death if they are bitten into.

You are right - it is a sign of affection. If you want him to stop killing so much, put a small bell on his collar. It will alert his prey when he is stalking them. He will still have fun chasing and stalking things, he just won't be able to kill as many.
If you still want him to kill things, but not bring them to you, that will require consistent scolding until he learns that it makes you unhappy. That can take some time with a cat.

hi, I easily have 2 dogs and 5 cats and characteristic had 'countless can provide also'! attempt getting her used to a collar, purely 10 minutes an afternoon and extending the time, very slowly, she ought to get used to it eventually, even as she receives to carry close you at the instantaneous are unlikely to harm her with it. the in ordinary words element fairly, is to fasten the dogs flap and commonly open the door for the dogs to bypass outside. And that way, you could make efficient the cat is offered in, without 'can provide'. also, computer virus the cat commonly, they could get worms, eating multiple this stuff. I were given up one morning, to detect a frog jumping round on the touchdown! Boy, did I scream! As she is a rescue, she ought to have survived by employing catching her personal nutrients. make efficient she continually has nutrients accessible and also you ought to attempt giving her more suitable than common, so she would not sense the want to capture her personal. If she is staying in at evening, with the dogs flap closed, then placed a muddle field down for her. it must be perfect to keep her in at evening. you could want to placed something in the front of the dogs flap, each and each and every part to give up them breaking it.

i know its gross but that is their nature. just pick it up and throw it away (or bury it like i do). cats are hunters so there is really nothing you can do unless u keep him inside. my cat brings me dead animals all the time, its what they are supposed to do. if it really want him to stop put a collar on him with a bell. my cat is mostly outside so i just make sure i see her atleast once a day just to make sure she isnt lost becuz collars can get stuck on a branch or something. also i bury my animals that she brings me and she doesnt catch animals to much anymore but i really dont think u can stop it all. good luck and tell me what ur decision was

Well , every thing in life ; got two faces .
The cat loves you , and to show you that ; he brings you dead things . This's the first face !
The second face of this is : the cat could save you from snakes , scorpions ,etc..etc .
To tell the truth : the cat saved me once from a black scorpion , when I was a kid of 12 years .

My cat used to do the same thing... it's actually a sign of affection... their "kills" are like little gifts that the cat is bringing to you... and it's an instinct.. so you can't stop it... either keep your cat indoors, or put it on a cat-harness on a lead... or just say "thank-you" and be happy your cat loves you....

Accept these gifts!! If you yell at him, he will get the wrong idea and grow a hatred for humans. He will eventually leave you. Just give your cat love and affection each time he does this, then discard the body. One time my Coon brought me a HUGE crawfish, alive. He suffered a pinched lips, and I almost peed myself trying to get the buggar outta my kitchen. It was cool! And freaky! It is tough, but love you baby for the great gifts!
