I am asking second time since ppl gives me all kinds of answer except for Question i am asking.
I am not looking why GOD punished Eve. I am not looking was Eve right or wrong. ( bad or evil only after she ate the fruit not while she was doing it.) I am not interesting that she disobeys GOD-(disobeying is good or bad? can only be determining after she ate the fruit).
Knowledge VS understanding. The grand Q is:
Did Eve had a knowledge ( such event exist) of death or she had full understanding of death ( consequences and so on…)
Example: A thermostat has knowledge of a temperature change, but not understanding.
“There was tree of life in the midst of the Eden. (Eating fruit of tree of life would make them eternal, than eat fruit of Knowledge).”
Please, Please, Please answer only the Question I asked if you can. Knowledge vs understanding.

There was no known death of any of human kind in Eden before ( unless some1 will come up with alternative), Seeing flower die or animal die like some trying to point … Well sorry there is not a single event in the bible that says anything died in the Eden and considering ppl lived to 900_ animals and plants could do the same, so please don’t add your own guesses.)

Thank you.

"Yes, she had full understanding of death ( consequences and so on…). Satisfied? "

One more thing to point out. Some ppl still claims that she understands that death is. Well there is a tree of life right near by tree of knolwedge. If she understands death you still think she would not eat that tree first, or smart serpent who is against GOD would not eat him self or direct her there first?

Eve didn't know anything about death. All she knew was that God said if you eat the fruit you will surely die.

How do you know what death is if you've never seen or heard what it is.

So no, she didn't know what death was.

I believe Eve had full knowledge and understanding of what death was. Remember, this was a commandment given by God to Adam before Eve was created; therefore, the fact that Eve was aware of the commandment demonstrates she and Adam discussed the subject. Since you don't question Adam's understanding of death, then you must admit he would have explained its meaning to Eve.

Also, the discourse between Eve and Satan in Gen. 3 indirectly proves Eve fully understood what death was: she said, "3 but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’” She did not say, "... nor shall you touch it, lest you die -- whatever that is."

However, the direct proof that Eve understood the concept of death lies in Satan's reply: "4 Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. 5 For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

Satan knew Eve was aware of death's meaning and he used this knowledge as a "bargaining chip" to get her to believe God had lied to them both. If Eve didn't understand what death was, Satan's temptation would have been ineffectual.

When God created Adam and Eve, it was part of a plan. Part of the plan was to give them freedom to choose to follow his plan or not to. Another part of His plan was to give his creations a chance to multiply and fill the world He created. If Eve had not eaten the fruit, she and Adam would have remained sinless in the Garden of Eden There was a consequence to eating the fruit. The fruit on the tree which she partook of had the power given from God to give the knowledge of good and evil to Even if she ate of the fruit. When she did, this knowledge was there for her and for Adam when he ate the fruit. It was then that they knew they were naked and tried to hide from God. Eve was enticed by Satan who was disguised as a serpent and in doing so, he actually was fulfilling God's plan. When God saw that Adam and Eve knew they were naked, He knew they had disobeyed him and it was then that there bodies received mortality. They were expelled from the Garden because it was a place of perfectness and they were no longer perfect. They were now subject to birth and death and all the human traits we have. They knew good from evil and could choose for themselves. That was the nature of men from that time on. They would have to toil for their keep. The Garden had supplied all their needs before. Eating the fruit opened their eyes to the knowledge of good and evil and that made them subject to the consequences of their choice.

1 TIMOTHY 2:12-14
12) But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
13) For Adam was formed first, then Eve.
14) And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
1 CORINTHIANS 11:3
3) But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

Listen if God is the head of man, and God told adam not to eat of the tree of knowledge; and man being the head of woman, meaning whatever God told Adam, it became Adams responsibility to tell his wife. So yes Eve had all understanding of not to touch that tree. But deception entered in, (and deceived means to be tricked, duped,or mislead) not unto the man but unto the woman. Eve knew the consequences. I pray for you. Amen.

P.S
Even though neither one of them had knowledge of themselves, until after eating the friut. They both had the knowledge and an understanding of what they were told to do and not to do, again I pray for you. Amen

See the answer below me: that is the reason it is not permitted for a woman to teach. We have the tendacy to go all around what God says. Who are we to say what God's plan was or is? Who are we to know the thoughts of God?

Genesis 3
The Fall of Man
1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden'?"

2 The woman said to the serpent, "We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but God did say, 'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.' "

4 "You will not surely die," the serpent said to the woman. 5 "For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."

6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. 7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

It sound like she understood the rules.

NO, Eve did not have any knowledge what-so-ever of the Consequiencie's of what she was getting ready to do(eat from that Tree). None what-so-ever. All She had ever known was LIFE, and you get that from Walking with GOD, after she ate from the Tree, GOD had to LEAVE HER (she became LOST,Dead Spiritually). Hope this helps.

Well, i believe they were eating the animals so they would have to die before adam and eve could eat them. Other than that i doubt it. Any knowledge of death and its consequences would have nothing to do with humans.

A thermostat has no knowledge. It is not living. Without knowledge there can be no understanding. I am gaining knowledge by listening to others and by getting a formal education. I am also sorry that this isn't the answer that you are looking for......but maybe it is since you keep bringing up knowledge and understanding.

Eve didn't have knowledge of good and evil until after she partook of the fruit. That's why it is referred to as a transgression, not a sin. A sin isn't a sin unless the person knows it's wrong. Both sins and transgressions can be repented for.

Of what possible is the relevance is the 'knowledge' of a mythological character? Your question is about as meaningful as asking whether the Road Runner really knew Wile Coyote was going to fall off the cliff.

Adam and Eve were told that if they partook of the forbidden fruit, they would surely die. Therefore she had the knowledge. However, until she partook of the fruit, she didn't have the understanding of what death was.
