what understanding is necessary,the effects and individiual may have when moving/handling/positioning?

I am doing my level 3 in social care and am stuck on this issue
please help

You need to know the principles of safe techniques in moving and handling - safety for yourself, co-workers and clients.
You need to understand the effect of posture especially on your back.
When in the workplace your employer should have policies applying to M&H and you will need to know them and adhere to them.

I'm not sure I understand your question, which is a bit worrying as I'm a student nurse!!!!!!
