I am partial to medium - large size dogs. I don't have a favorite but I am really mean when it comes to a good looking dog. There are some breeds which are just awful to look at - I couldn't own anything ugly. What is the purpose of ugly dogs? Some of them don't even have healthy lives because of the way their body shape was bred for.

you can't go wrong with a good mutt. the best dog i ever had was a golden retriever/chow. he is a big teddybear. a total goofball. but this total goofball is also protective. not mean.
example: my little sister (9) gets home from school and is alone for a few hours. bandit meets her at the mailbox, walks her to the house and then keeps her company.
anyhoo, enough gushing.
if you want a smaller dog, though i'd go for the norwich terrier.

I'd have to say my labrador and my mastiff / shepherd mix. Both are very loving dogs, the lab is dependent happy-go-lucky will do anything for a treat. The mastiff is happy to just be by your side and doesn't really care if she got a treat or not, as long as you are there.
Alright I didn't really give an answer did I?

I have had Miniature Schnauzers my whole life. Not everyone loves them though. If I had it to do over, I would rescue an animal from a shelter rather than spend $1000+ on a purebreed. There are so many animals that need homes and will love you forever for saving them.

My all time fashionable breed is the Labrador Retriever (Jasper, Black Lab is only a colour). I had a chocolate canines and a black b#tch. They were bred specially to reproduce. regrettably, Roxanne's muddle died interior her and he or she had to have a "hysterectomy". It broke my heart to have her spayed because she became one of those awesome celebration of a Labrador Retriever. Sidney knew a minimum of 40 human beings words. the most individuals-proper canines walking in this earth. I bypass over both one in each and every of them extraordinarily lo, those 10 years later.

Used to be Bulldogs. I still like them alot but Boston Terrier I like even better once I learned about them. They are energetic and will play when you want but are perfectly happy slugging on the sofa when your not around.

Perfect dog for one with an apartment.

I suppose I should say Beagle, because our dog is a Beagle, but I really like Pugs and Boston Terriers too.

I also have two favorites - Pugs and German Shepherd Dogs. I have one of each, so I can't choose a single favorite!
