For example, they can't prove evolution wrong so they finally admit that it happened but God set it in motion. They can't prove the Big Bang wrong so they say sure it happened but God made it happen. They always have to corrupt scientific theories to make them religiously biased.

God is a religious character and solely a religious character therefore how does that not make it religion based? Dumbest thing I ever read there.

That's like saying that Santa Claus isn't Christmas based.

Once again we see believers discounting scientific theories and believing in far more ludicrous ones such as God creating everything from nothing and then disappearing....

You're spot on with that... and it's why I often get irritated by them. It is intellectual dishonesty to change your beliefs, (when they're proven wrong) and create new beliefs that are "kind of like" your old ones.

The bible says what it says. And it's wrong. To cling to it, and try to spin it, is ludicrous. Personally, my description of it is the "golden calf" of moderate Christianity. Creating your own creation story, incorporating evolution, etc... is this not simply creating a belief, for the sake of believing in it? I certainly think so. This is grabbing at straws, not believing in something based on its merits, but instead believing in it because you're afraid not to.

This is all very clear to the atheist, who can see things for what they are, and doesn't have to mold reality around fiction. We can make rational decisions based on evidence, not on what we can "fit" into our belief structure. This is why so many atheists are appalled at the decisions made by the religious right, when the correct decisions are so easy to understand, if you remove your bias.

Hey, you just stumbled on one of Christianity's biggest problems today...taking man's fallible date and trying to apply it to God's infallible word. Congratulations, you may become a Christian yet. But you are actually behind the curve by about 100 years.

The fact of the matter is, until the late 18th century, man had no problem believing the Bible for what it said. Even those who refused to accept Christ didn't deny what the Bible said about our origins...that God created in a literal 6 day period, that there was a universal flood, etc. It says what it says. It's detractors just refused to accept it.

However, a bunch of geologists around that time started looking around and saying "Hm. everything looks really, really old. We're betting it is millions of years old." And they reported their findings to the world, and then theologians said, "Well, if that's what you think, maybe we can make that fit the Bible." So you got the gap theory, day age theory, etc.

Then came along the theory of evolution, which is already stretched to the credibility point even with a billions of years old universe, but is obviously impossible in a 4 to 6 thousand year old universe. But since Christians had already compromised in one area, they had to compromise elsewhere, so they started saying "Well, maybe Genesis is poetic or allegory, all that matters is that God created".

Now they are faced with people with questions like yours, and they have nothing to stand on, because they've compromised too much. When if they had just kept from applying mans opinion to God's Word, there'd be no problem.

It's not about proving things "wrong", it's about having a proper understanding of the Bible. The Big Bang is a theory...I can say that stars in distant galaxies are actually phosphorent cheese, and you can't prove me wrong. So your logic is very flawed there. Just because something can't be proven wrong doesn't make it right.

However, if we trust the Bible, we know the Big Bang cannot be right, because in a Big Bang cosmology, you have the earth created after the sun and stars, you have the earth as a molten blob of rock requiring millions of years to cool....neither of these concepts is consistent with the Biblical account of creation.

Whether or not you are willing to accept the Bible as true, at least have a proper understanding of what you're rejecting. Peruse the website below so you can at least be a propery informed critic.

Err. . . I do not think you are right.

For one, I am not able to agree with what you have just state regarding to Evolution or Big Bang. To me they are all nonsense.

Perhaps one or two christian you have met may agree. But that will be too small a sample size to use the word "they'. Yea? Scientically it is not right.

MOreover, for me to accept that it is a science theory, it must be able to be repeated. No one can show me that evolution is still taking place, or show me a half mankey turning into man.

Or any man growing wings.

So, as a believer, I stay it clearly, Evolution is a theory that can't be proven right. It is never science at all.

As a believer, I reject that Big Bang too. Keep it for the science friction books.

The truth is that scientists have not been able to prove the theory of evolution. That is why it is still a theory. Have you ever heard of the phrase 'fact of evolution' ?. And regarding big bang, the Quran clearly speaks of it. Yes, big bang happened and that was how the earth was created.

Just get a monkey and observe him day and night and watch the evolution if it happens. Foolish man, evolution as not proof anything yet. God has proved himself all the time right in front of your nose, and still you say there is no God.

Look at the mirror and and check if you see some monkey in your face, well beside been silly.

Yes but you can't prove the big bang right. Think about it, nothing then all of a sudden an explosion caused by nothing out of nothing (how is that possible) then everything? Come on, a 5 year old invented that theory.

We all 'suffer' under the illusion (delusion) that we're right and everyone else is wrong. We are very attached to the thoughts and manifestations of our personal existence. There is nothing innately 'wrong' with this...it is simply called being human. The issue arises when we try to compare our belief system to that which is not our own...which causes us to question our beliefs and/or try to 'defend' them 'against' conflicting beliefs. So, if you ask about corruption, it is only this innate conflict of beliefs that you are sensing. If you 'enjoy' becoming part of the battle, it is also a very human point-of-view to take. Science and religion do not HAVE to be at-odds with each other...it just appears that they are.

Your Science (of matter definitely) is a part of spiritual science, those who dont understand try to speculate the truth to gain some fame or money or any damn thing.

Spiritual science is supposed to be accepted as is served to us. Ofcourse that doesnt mean u shudnt clear your doubts out but the one who clears must not interpret the truth.

Well you can find these ppl if you really have desire like me.

Hello Selnyk.. :)

No..we do not..we do not need to prove evolution wrong..it has done that many times on it's own..it has changed and is still changing..each and everyday.. :)

We do not have to corrupt any scientific theories..they do that very well on there own, without our help.. :)

In Jesus Most Precious Name..

I think you mean believers who operate on faith alone.

I truely believe that if I walk out onto the highway without looking, I will be hit by a car or truck.

I've never done that before, and I've never seen it happen, but I do believe it. And I've never corrupted anything to maintain that belief.
