I can see that the embassies are pretty stringent with their requirements. There is a lot of information to gather, forms to fill out, and photos to take. I know that my fiancé will need to go to Santo Domingo for an interview. Will I need to go, too? Is it difficult to come to America? How long will it take him to get a social security card so that he can work here? I have more questions, but they're not coming to mind right now. ANY info you have will be wonnnderful! =)

It will take time for your fiance to come to the US if you plan on using the fiance-visa option. You will have to complete form I-129F and submit all supporting evidence and wait for the National Visa Center to complete processing of the application before it's submitted to the embassy in Santo Domingo. You will have to proof that you have visited your fiance within a 2-year period etc. The embassy will schedule the appointment but consular staff processing is slow and depending on workload can be as long as one year.
