Israel is defending itself.

The state of Israel was legally created out of the dismemberment of the Ottoman Empire at the end of World War I. The area was desolate, desert and swamp, with some small towns and a few inhabitants, many of them nomads. The inhabitants considered themselves mostly Syrian. The Balfour Declaration issued by the British, who were given the mandate over the area by the League of Nations. Jews have lived in the country since Biblical times. The Arabs from the surrounding areas were lured to "Palestine" by the industry and prosperity that the Jews brought to the region. Envy, hatred and religious fanaticism turned the Arabs against the Jews. In 1947, under pressure, the British resigned their mandate. The same year, the United Nations mandated partioning of the territory. The Jews, though disappointed, accepted the partition. The Arabs rejected it and launched war against Israel. The armies of five Arab countries invaded. Following the exhortations of the invaders, the Arab residents got out of the way hoping to return after victory was attained. They could then reclaim their property and that of the Jews, all of whom would have been killed or would have fled. Israel won. That and that alone is the source of the Palastinian "refugees". Had the Arabs accepted the UN partition plan, there would now have been a state of "Palestine" for the last 58 years. The might have attained a similar level of prosperity, advancement and development as Israel. 50% of Israel's population now includes refugees from Morocco, Algeria, Iraq and Yemen. All were accepted by Israel with open arms and have become successful members of their society. The Palestinians refused to integrate these refugees into their population and instead confined them to "refugee camps". The ones there are now fourth generation and through no fault of Israel.

Hey, here's an idea, why don't the Arabs get these 4th generation refugees and incorporate them into their society? 4th GENERATION?!? That would never happen in a developed nation, including Israel. It shows how incompetant the Palestinians are.

The Palestinians and Israelites are not fighting over religion, They are fighting over land, and a racial hatred which dates back thousands of years. Now it happens that they are mostly of different religious beliefs, but that is not the cause of the fighting. For example: if the Jews all moved out of Israel next week and gave the land back, the fighting would end. It is unlikely the Palestinians would follow the Jews to where they went and continue to war with them. They would have gotten what they want - the land. Neithers groups religion would have changed and it won't matter because - its not a religious war.

Far too often religion has gotten blamed for wars, fighting and killings that have nothing to do with religion. It has to do with greed, money, power, land, resources, etc. Its a little thing called "sin". And Christianity is the solution to that, not the problem.

IMO Israel and Palestine fight because the Palestinians got kicked off their land and had to move away when Israel was formed after WWII. I don't blame the Israelis, and I think that 50 yrs of fighting is dumb, but the Palestinians have a better reason than religion.

It depends on what you call "to much". Listen, its not about religion, it's about a personal relationship with GOD. Now if you want to know the answer to your question, its in the bible. It will tell you why the middle east hates Israel. They are cousins, They themselves could not give you a real answer. Its all they know. They hate Israel, they are taught this, just like the Klan is taught to hate. In spirit of your question, Religion, has nothing to do with GOD. it uses God as its base, but GOD is no where near it. Try GOD for yourself, give him six months, if your live does not change for the better, go back to what you where doing, no problem. drop me a line. I will show you how to become a child of GOD. not just his creation. His child.

Long time ago, probably after the Roman Empire, the land of Israel is occupied by Palestinian. The Israelis are scattered around the world.

Now, after World War II, the Israelis came back to claim their lands which also belong to Palestinians. Israelis tries to claim the land that God promises to them, including Jerusalem. Problem is, Palestinians have lived there for so long also, that they said it is their land instead of belong to Israelis.

Religions over there is only a powerplay. Christianity over
here, however, is a turn the other cheek......we don't kill
people who's religion is different than ours. We have thousands
of churches and people can choose which way they want to
worship and that's okay with all the other religions in the U.S. but
most of us don't even have a gun in the house as we are a
peaceful people.
