Hi,
What is a good tripod for Olympus C770 digital camera? I tried a Samsonite tripod at Circuit City and my camera was badly scratched :((
So, I was wondering if anyone out there has some information.
Also, is there any other accessory I can buy so that the tripod doesn't scratch the camera?
Please let me know!

Velbon makes decent tripods for under $50. Look for ones with quick release planes. The plate screws into the camera body and attaches to the tripod head.They can be separated quickly (hence the name) for transport and storage.
Most tripods will leave very small marks on the camera after a while. I use larger professional cameras, so a small scratch on the body is of little concern to me.

Any tripod should work if the camera looks like it has a inset metel screw on the bottom
