Hi, during my search for "the right" religion for me, ive came accross modern paganism. I think it might be very interesting stuff! But there is so much info about that, im a bit confused. Where should i start? what should i do first? Is there someone who would like to help me? I live in Slovakia, so i dont think there is a possiblility to join other like-minded people, as this is very catholic country :-(
PS: please dont quote the bible, dont mention satan and dont bother by writing about hell. thank you :)

start with looking up "spiritualism" on the Internet. There are some good sites if you look off of Y! and it will get you started in a good spiritual path. A spiritual path is much better than looking for the right religion. religion may not define you, but small parts of different religions may. you need to find what is inside of you.
the links below should help more

Try doing a search for your area on www.witchvox.com. It will tell you whether or not there are any registered covens or teaching circles near you. You might also want to search through the various discussion groups on Yahoo. There's lots out there to choose from.
The best scenario is to find someone near you that you can learn from. But thanks to the Information Age, there's always the vast support network on the World Wide Web. Not to mention more books and articles in circulation than I can count. Try to read as much as you can. The Complete Idiot's Guide to Wicca and Witchcraft is an excellant resource, so are any of the books by Scott Cunningham and Raymond Buckland.
If you want to talk more, feel free to IM me; my Yahoo ID is listed.
Blessed Be

Okay, I won't talk about those other things.
I think that it is a girl thing for little girls that like little cute fuzzy things, little colorful objects of all sorts, cute little figures and items that only mean something to someone with an imagination.
Now that the little girl is growing up, she wants all those fuzzies and things to have more meaning, not content with the imagination, they want what many little girls want: power over things they could not control. They want their little fuzzies to help them with life, so that they can continue being little girls, only bigger girls with little fuzzies power.
A stone, a fuzzy, they are just what they are, until a spirit gets a hold of you with one. You are making a big mistake!

Did You know You can't believe in God, and bea Wicca?
I thought it would be a great religion, because of Earth based priorities, but put off because of that

It's your soul you are dealing with and eternity and where you will spend it. God forbids other gods which is exactly what you are dealing with. I would be very careful. Those other religions are confusing because they are not based on truth. There is only One Way, One Truth, and One Life. Find that in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit....no where else.

I found "Wicca for the solitary practitioner" by Cunningham to be very informative. Also Wicca for the Beginner" by Amber K is very interesting.
And please don't listen to all the preaching. Decide for yourself. Follow what you think is right.

I think what that one girl wrote was very good. You can't believe in God and be a wicca. Is that what you want.
